    It wasn’t. Covid and AT&T’s damn debt are what killed it according to Spurrier. Those two combined made stuff like Hellblazer that was great but didn’t sell well an easy cut.

    So same sad story... *Sigh*

    Well if anything, here's hoping they learned their lesson and keep the next relaunch in the same "mature" vein as this past book.

    As I said before in a different thread, I hope that it does well enough as a trade to get continued sometime in the far future, even if we have to settle for OGN or digital-first forms.

    Regardless, considering the quality of the other post-Vertigo Constantine ongoings that preceded it, I think 13 issues of great John Constantine - perhaps the best the character's been since the original title (I'd say perhaps the best Constantine since Mike Carey's run) - is something to be thankful for in spite of the cancellation.
