I know I already posted my primary dream X-Team/book: Storm, Banshee, M, Sunfire, Hellion, Pixie, Kwannon.
However if I got to put together another X-Book, especially in this age of Krakoa, I'd love to do something with the Deadly Genesis kids.
Plot wise, it'd make for good drama cause so far the only one who's been shown cloned/alive again is Vulcan. Darwin technically didn't die & has popped up in other books & will be staring with Laura & Synch soon. However, at least to my knowledge Sway & Petra haven't been shown cloned & around. Then again, maybe it wouldn't be possible because they died before this whole Uber Charles making backup copies of seemingly every X person on the island.
I know one of the cloning rules are the memories of how you died aren't carried to your cloned body. So far Vulcan hasn't shown any ill will or memories of his issues with the Summers/Charles in his few appearances. Darwin obviously has his memories of his first time on the island, which I hope are touched upon in his series with X-23.
Like, even though the island is friendly now could you live on something that almost killed you & killed your friends in a society established by the guy who poorly trained you & sent you to save his other students?
I'd have Petra & Sway cloned, somehow just write that Xavier had imprints of their minds from the accelerated telepathic training he gave them. I'd have them not remember anything about how they died since that's clone protocol. Since they where young adults, I'd have them as mid to late teens since Petra was in foster care & Sway was touring possible colleges. With Vulcan I'd write him has 19-21 max. Even though he was aged by the Shiar in his OG body, I'd have the cloned body a similar age to the other two & also make him look younger than Scott & Alex. Then I'd have Darwin, while happy to see them, question why they can't remember their first & only mission & either tell them accidentally or on purpose. Then later on have them try to get Vulcan to remember.
I don't want homicidal Vulcan back again, that was better left in DG & Rise & Fall, but I'd definitely bring up some issues. Maybe have them decide to leave Krakoa & reestablish the Muir Island base. I'd have the flowers set there so they could always travel in case of emergency. Maybe have an arc in which they find some hints about who Moira really is.
The only team book that's shown to question the island so far was Fallen Angels & with that canceled I want another. I'd add Bobby & Sean to bring in some levity & a senior member, since technically there all young adults except for Darwin. Sean has obvious history with the island & was a part of the successful rescue team & Bobby, while having grown, is still just enough of a clown. Maybe wanting to reach out to them.
I'd also write in some therapy scenes in between missions, similar to the ones way back in X-Factor Investigations.

The first arc was remarkable though. From Sinister system to team's baptism by cosmic fire and cosmic giants themselves, I find it one of the really best openings in X-men history. It's what followed which ruined the gig. Not to blame AvX entirely, the Tabula Rasa arc was utter garbage too. The Xmen/Avengers quasi crossover was fine, still not good enough. We could also call it the best AvX tie in because to me it was, but it wasn't until Consequence where Gillen seemed to regain his fire back which was a little too late. And then Bendis happened and I prefer to not even talk about that one...
Two things still leave me wondering, what would've been if: 1. Gillen continued his gig after AvX. 2. AvX was never a thing or just became one much later.
Anyway, would such a team even work in current state? A nation that makes everyone worried as it is with an overpowered and proactive assembly? Even retaining it as a collection of overpowered/overqualified lineup, the premise and MO should've been different, if not de facto, de jure at the very least. I could see an a kind of "whatever" agreement with UN, to make the current political angle intact. Avengers maybe?
About the lineup itself, well... if we break it down at the time it was:
Cyclops - leader of a self-proclaimed nation
White Queen - co-leader of Hellfire Club
Storm - queen of Wakanda
Namor - King of Atlantis
Magik - ruler of Limbo
Juggelossus - avatar of Cyttorak
Hope - a "messiah" of mutantkind
Danger - superadvanced AI from Shi'ar
Magneto - nuff said
I don't really feel like M and Synch fit, they don't bring in the status. Apoc, maybe. But his presence is pretty provocative. But well, Krakoa itself is, so that's kind of non argument. In general, with all of the above acknowledged, in terms of power, a team like this could be made, in terms of status, I don't think it is possible with an ongoing current state. We had representatives of Wakanda, Atlantis, Shi'ar, Limbo, Hellfire Club, it had a completely different feel. Quasi-international even, which is basically an antipode to the current status quo.
