Umar is pretty much on par with Classic Strange at his best (barring one-time powerups for Strange). Edit: If not a smidgen more powerful.

I haven't read any Knull stuff personally, but I've heard second hand that he beats up Silver Surfer.

If he does that fairly easily, seems likely he's more powerful than Umar.

Umar should be able to take the Surfer as well, but not just 'casually beat him up'.

He beat the Surfer, but the Surfer managed to actually hurt and contest the guy.

Also he more beat the Surfer by infecting him with a symbiote when the Surfer was himself not exactly at his best. He was still powerful enough that Norrin had to keep fleeing the guy once Ego the living Planet freed him of the infection, buuut again, he could still hurt Knull, despite being otherwise running on somewhat diminished power cosmic.

I'm a little annoyed that the reason for life in the 616 is because the Silver Surfer pulled a 'panspermea' by exploding himself and seeding the universe.

So any discussion involving this character is unintentionally funny to me.
