John has abt two decades of history, ties to the mutant criminal underground including several established characters, the US government, used to be a famous novelist, had a tragic heel face turn and died a heroic death to save a man that hated and feared him. Also we still havent met his granny.

I feel like I could possibly count Kitty and Jubilee's interactions on two hands. But a little of Jubes went a long way for me pre-Gen X, and it wasn't a Kitty issue bc I started reading as a kid just as Kitty was taken off the team. I always enjoyed Kitty in back issues but I find Jubilee much more tolerable today. Anyway, it's interesting to see them together.
