What former DC writer would you like to see return to DC and what book would you want them to write?
It can be an ongoing book or a mini-series or a one-shot.

John Byrne, just to work on his SHAZAM! concept...
Neil Gaiman to do "The Green Lantern" season 3 (is he "former?" He hasn't been working on Sandman stuff has he?)
I'd be happy just to have an editor with Julie Schwartz's storytelling sensibilities.

I think maybe having Simonson come back for a run on "JLA" might be fun.
Alan Davis on "Blue Beetle" (Jaime) - wacky sci-fi alien stuff with a young hero seems suited to Davis.
Doug Moench on "Peacemaker."

Brian K. Vaughan
Charles Soule
Maybe Benjamin Percy
Greg Rucka on Wonder Woman. It's floundered a bit since his Rebirth run. Ideally, I'd love to see him paired up with Nicola Scott again, whose work was fantastic for that all-too-brief run.
Rucka walked because he struggled with the double shipping that DC favoured at the time. That obviously wouldn't be a problem now.
Failing that, maybe someone like Geoff Johns. It would be great to get him working back at DC Comics again .

Lower The Pissing Winch!
Greg Pak, writing a mini-series or a maxi-series featuring a Superman like the one he wrote in the New 52.
"They can be a great people Kal-El, they wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way. For this reason above all, their capacity for good, I have sent them you. My only son." - Jor-El

Beau Smith

"My name is Wally West. I'm the fastest man alive!"
I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.
J Michael straczynski. Other than Bendis, probably my all time favorite writer. Put him on anything!
