A new take on an old team.
I know, right?
Now we just have to come up with a decent creative team. Getting a decent artist would be easy enough. Getting the right writer, though, maybe a bit tougher. Maybe because I've been on a huge Deadly Class kick lately (both the comic and the tv show), maybe Rick Remender? I mean, Deadly Class is basically about a school for assassins.
Keep in mind that you have about as much chance of changing my mind as I do of changing yours.
Agents of W.A.N.D. Protecting the MU earth from magical creatures
Elsa Bloodstone
Blade
Ghost Rider
Hellstrom
Dr. Voodoo
Spitfire
Wiccan
I'd like to see the Annihilators as a full blown universe-saving team! I'd go with a bigger roster because there's obviously going to be times when individuals need to handle their own adventures:
Nova (Richard Rider)
Quasar (Wendell Vaughn)
Beta Ray Bill
Blue Marvel
Silver Surfer
Photon (Monica Rambeau)
Mantis
Jack of Hearts
Enchantress (Amora)
Wanted to come up w. something like a dark version of The Marvel Family, as i really enjoyed Black Adam’s attempt to do the same back during 52.
• COUNT NEFARIA
Ostensibly this is Count Nefaria building a power base which he’ll use to launch a new, global criminal empire.
• MOONSTONE
In reality, Moonstone’s pulling the strings. She’s got her hooks in Nefaria, using both her mind and her body to manipulate him.
• STARBRAND
The last we saw of Kevin Connor he was Penance Stared into seeming oblivion by Ghost Rider. And not one Avenger even tried looking for him. He’s got some resentment over that Moonstone can play on.
• ULTRA GIRL
A Kree-human mutant hybrid, she’s mostly been ignored by every group she could possibly be a member of. She wasn’t even babysitter material. Moonstone can manipulate her need to belong.
• ALPHA
In Alpha’s case, w. great power comes great disappointment. Even Spider-man gave up and depowered him once. His inferiority complex is right there for Moonstone to work w. and use.
• MAN-WOLF
Moonstone is using her and John Jameson’s connection to The Lifestone Tree to sap his will, and keep him in his beastial form. Reluctantly, Jameson serves as an attack dog of sorts, and does as he’s told.
I could definitely see this working out. Would make a lot of sense, and it would force various heroes who've let them down to face up to their failures in that regard, if they're to have any hope of getting them to realize Moonstone's just playing them for her own gain.
The spider is always on the hunt.
