    So true.
An actual book where Samson’s shown helping out characters who actually need it, in between him punching bad guys, would be great to see.

I'd be very much in favor of it.

    NICK FURY JR.
Just because SHIELD is gone, doesn’t mean SHIELD is gone. Nick Fury Jr. assembles an elite strike team to handle the types of situations that SHIELD would have, back in the day.

    WAR MACHINE
A literal one man Army Corps.

    SHURI
    The Wakandan winged wonder.

    GOLIATH

A budget slash poor man’s version of The Defenders Big Four.

When Dr. Strange won’t return your calls you get…DR. DRUID.
Voted Single Worst Avenger Ever, 8 years running.

When you can’t get ahold of The Hulk you get…GENERAL MAVERICK.
A sixty something year old guy in bike shorts who can only Hulk out one hour a day.

When Namor The Sub-Mariner tells you to piss off you get…STINGRAY.
A guy who dresses up like a fish. Nuff said.

When The Silver Surfer can’t be contacted you get…FIRELORD.
Okay yeah, he’s actually pretty cool but, he’s no Silver Surfer.

Eh, why not. A poor man’s team based on The Avengers original line up.

No Cap but you get, CITIZEN V.
The John Watkins III version. Carrying on the family tradition. He’s the seventh CV, and looking to erase the damage Zemo did to his legacy.

No Thor but you get, ARKON.
A haughty other dimensional warrior King w. a quiver full of lightning bolts. He’s all about testing himself in battle and then getting his feast on.

No Iron Man but you get, DETROIT STEEL.
The Doug Johnson III version. Ex Military working in the private sector. He’s got more in common w. James Rhodes Than Tony in terms of skill set.

No Hulk but you get, GEN. MAVERICK.
I actually DO like this guy. The bike shorts though, are easy to make fun of. Hulk was replaced by Cap on The Avengers, but I’m keeping both Maverick and Citizen V on this team.

No Hank Pym but you get, THE HORNET.
The Hobie Brown version. Brown’s got science know how, and like Hank, has had a few different identities. There have also been other Hornets so it’s nice and confusing.

No Wasp but you get, THE RED LOCUST.
A happy go lucky young woman w. a lotta heart. Like The Wasp she’s the youngest, but is still going to end up being only sane person and team mom.

I had similar thoughts but more towards a legacy, rather than substitutes. Of course, some tweaking will be necessary.

Marvel’s Legacy Earth – An Earth where all the original heroes died or only served to give birth to their legacies.

Force Works – Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Operating out of L.A. this team, while having federal clearance and U.N. support, is backed by reclusive billionaire Tony Stark.

U.S. Agent – After submitting to a power enhancement process, John Walker was selected among hundreds of candidates to become the new American super-symbol. (10 T)
War Machine – professional soldier and pilot Jim Rhodes helped an armored Tony Stark reach the U.S. after he escaped his captors. However, while the chest plate allowed his heart to beat, Tony´s general health was still precarious, and the genius billionaire inventor decided to hire Rhodey as his personal body-guard, building for him the War Machine combat battle armor. Team Leader. (80 T)
Thunderstrike – After befriending and helping the Thunder God, Thor, and earning his respect for the brief time he visited our reality, architect Eric Masterson was rewarded with a mystic asgardian mace, Thunderstrike, and a slew of asgardian powers including vast strength. (65 T)
Black Goliath – Lab assistant to the late Henry Pym, Bill Foster improved his growing formula and used it to become Black Goliath. (20 T)
Yellow Jacket – Lab assistant to the late Henry Pym, Rita DeMara used his shrinking formula and improved equipment he had designed to become Yellow Jacket.
She-Hulk – Receiving a blood transfusion that saved her life from her cousin on the run, Bruce Banner, Jennifer Walters soon discovered some interesting side-effects that explained why her genius cousin was wanted by the authorities. When Bruce is killed during a capture attempt, Jennifer takes on the super-powerful identity of She-Hulk. (85 T)

Fantastic Force – Team of explores assembled by former astronaut Reed Richards, and working for Richards Inc.

Ant-man – Electronic Engineer Scott Lang befriended Hank Pym and his wife Janet, before their untimely death, when they helped his ailing daughter get the medical help she needed. When they were murdered by Egghead, Scott used equipment developed by Pym to become Ant-man and bring their killer to justice. Scott was then hired by Pym’s friend Reed Richards to lead his FF, which is not an easy task considering the clash of personalities in the team. Like Doom himself, Vernard is arrogant and contemptuous, Ventura is selfish and self-serving, and Raye is slightly amoral.
Doom – When Victor Von Doom decided to challenge Mephisto to save his mother’s soul, as a back-up plan, he downloaded his intellect into young Kristoff Vernard’s mind. Doom failed in his quest, paying for it with his life, and with time, and Richards’ help, Kristoff’s mind asserted itself, still able to benefit from Doom’s limitless intellect. Building a powerful body armor, the fourteen year old is one of the FF most valuable members. (10 T)
Ms Marvel – Originally submitted to an enhancement processes which placed her in the superhuman class 10 strength department and greatly enhanced her speed, agility and durability, unlimited wrestling super-star Sharon Ventura’s contract was purchased by Richards Inc. and she was placed with the FF. Exposition to cosmic rays further enhanced her attributes placing her now in the superhuman class 50 strength range.
Human Torch – Frankie Raye, adoptive daughter of Phineas Horton, the creator of the original Human Torch. Exposed to chemicals used in the creation of the android, she exhibits habilities similar to the legendary crime-fighter.

X-Factor – Assembled by FBI agent Fred Duncan to serve the U.S. Government and promote Human/Mutant relationships.

Havok – Alex Summers. Leader. Recruited right out of his university graduation. Fires plasma bolts.
Polaris – Lorna Dane. Mistress of Magnetism. Suspected terrorist ties.
Madrox, the Multiple Man – The most scientifically inclined field agent.
Strong Guy – (50 T) Guido Carosella. Former body guard.
Wolfsbane – (5 T) Rhane Sinclair. Lupine orphan. The protégé of Moira MacTarget, Duncan partner in creating the task-force.
Quicksilver – Pietro Maximoff. Speedster. Recruited as a public counter point to his sister, the Scarlet Witch, the leader of the Sisterhood of Evil Mutants.

There will also be a few free agents, such as Scarlet Spider, Legacy (Genis-Vell), Vengence, Strange, Lady Punisher, etc...

    Peace

    Jeez, that’s badass.

Each character has such a nice twist despite being familiar. I love how the teams all have a clear mission statement so they aren’t all just doing the same thing/stepping on each others’ toes. That’d make for great crossover material as you’d need a threat that crosses all their different jurisdictions.

And the Sisterhood of Evil Mutants?
    With Wanda as leader?
    Pitted against Pietro?
    Hells yeah!

    X-FACTOR INVESTIGATIONS
    “We’re ready to believe you”.

    Jamie Madrox
He’s the Peter Venkman, the oddball yet charismatic team leader.

    Guido Carosella
Despite sharing Egon’s distinct hair poof, Guido’s replacing Ray Stantz as the good natured heart of the team.

    Doug Ramsey
Doug is actually the Egon Spengler of his team as the smartest/seems to always know everything about everything guy.

    Lucas Bishop
Winston Zeddmore was a Marine and Bishop also brings a Military background to the team.

    Theresa Cassidy
Being the team’s Janine Melnitz Theresa handles PR, screens clients, sets up appointments, handles finances etc. She only goes into the field on occasion.

    Doop
The Slimer. It’s a spud for spud situation here.

Marvel restarts Marvel Team Up, w. Clint Barton taking over for Spidey.

A mix of one issue stories and multi issue arcs w. Clint meeting different characters along the way.

Every so often Kate Bishop takes the lead, as she’s Hawkeye too!
