A team based on the Super Buddies of Giffen and DeMatteis' Formerly Known as the Justice League.
While Cyclops’ X-Men protect Krakoa, Roberto da Costa wanted to make sure that there was a team dedicated to protecting nonmutants as well, hoping to achieve greater understanding between mutants and humans. To this end, Sunspot bankrolls a new mutant team “accessible to the common man” operating out of a strip mall in Queens, New York.

Sunspot - Maxwell Lord
Recruiting the team and funding the group is Roberto da Costa.
Cannonball & Smasher - Elongated Man & Sue Dibny
Where Sunspot is, Cannonball isn't far behind. Sam is joined by his wife, Izzy Kane, a powerful superhero in her own right.
Danger - L-Ron
Danger acts as da Costa's robotic assistant, helping him recruit members to his team.
Deadpool & (Kid) Cable - Booster Gold & Blue Beetle
Deadpool joins for the generous benefits package. Cable joins because his (future) friend does.
Justice - Captain Atom
Justice has been trying to make a name for himself and sees joining da Costa's team as a good opportunity to do so.
Scout - Mary Marvel
Roberto wanted his own Wolverine, so he tried to recruit Laura Kinney, but settled for her younger sister, Scout, instead after she turned him down.
Magma - Fire
Lastly, da Costa recruits Magma, a "hot" superheroine from Brazil and former teammate.

THE VISION (Dr. Manhattan
As the only superhuman left on the planet, The Vision is falling back more and more on his cold, analytical, calculated programming as he endeavors to keep the Country safe from possible invasion, or worse, an all out thermonuclear exchange. Plus, both Vision and Dr. Manhattan have cool forehead designs.

THE BLACK WIDOW (Silk Spectre)
Natasha Romanov was the first operative assigned to monitor The Vision, and use her training and feminine wiles to keep the synthesoid grounded and in touch w. his human emotions.

THE BLACK WIDOW (Silk Spectre II)
Yelena Belova is the second operative assigned to monitor The Vision, after he lost interest in interacting with the original Black Widow.

NIGHTHAWK (Nite Owl)
The first, and somewhat cheesy, person to use the Nighthawk persona.

NIGHTHAWK II (Nite Owl II)
The second Nighthawk is all about not being cheesy, and instead being a real professional.

WINTER SOLDIER (The Comedian)
Both WS and The Comedian started out as gung ho kids, and graduated into badass, leather clad, Govt. operatives who favor BFGs. They each have a cool shoulder star motif going on.

MOON KNIGHT (Rorschach)
Homeless, hunted by the authorities, with a tenuous grip on reality; chasing various conspiracy theories, one of which happens to be very real.

IRON FIST (Ozymandias)
Has become a multi millionaire by commercializing all things K’un Lun. Is using his fortune to enact a plan that will unite all the world’s Nations. He just needs to get The Vision out of the equation first, and tie up a few loose ends that have knowledge of his actions.

Spinning out of Heroes Reborn, a secret team consisting of heroes and villains who unite to protect Earth from threats originating outside the universe and patch up breaks in reality left over in the wake of the event.



BLUE MARVEL - A physical and mental powerhouse, BM decides to operate in secret on this project, not even telling Monica Rambeau what he’s up to, so as to give her plausible deniability if things go sideways. This isn’t a mega crossover event, it’s an attempt to deal w. the fallout of one.

VALERIA RICHARDS - Mr. Fantastic’s daughter realizes this is a big deal when BM approaches her. She agrees w. the need for secrecy, and looks forward to really putting her intelligence to the test. She’s very much her father’s daughter in believing she knows best.

NORMAN OSBORN - The sometime Green Goblin has one of the biggest egos imaginable, but he’s earned the right to feel superior. He knows BM’s plan will totally fail without him there to make sure it doesn’t. To say nothing of the profit to be made in the bargain.

NIGHT THRASHER - Dwayne Taylor ran a multi million dollar company, became a superhero, founded his own team, was the catalyst for a superhuman Civil War, died and came back to life, all before he was 25. He’s not intimidated being on this team, just curious as to why BM chose him. Then there’s Osborn, who benefitted greatly from that Civil War. Dwayne’s def. going to keep an eye on him.

ESHU - Eshu’s seen a lot in 40,000 years. He’s seen mankind evolve, fill the world, split the atom, conquer space. He’s even watched the watchers, The Eternals and Inhumans before they ever revealed themselves. While he could actually leave the always imperiled Earth behind, Eshu’s stubborn, and wants to see how things play out in the next 40,000 years.

DEATHBIRD - The winged Shi’ar warrior has the least reason to be on this team, but here she is, ready to provide her battle prowess and interstellar level connections while asking nothing in return. BM is sure she has an agenda, and is curious to see if he can figure it out before she reveals it.

I'm wondering how you'll do with Norman Osborn in light of his current state, being "cleansed" of his sins by Sin-Eater and wanting to make amends for all the evil he's done in the past, though I'm sure no one else on the team will believe he's entirely, if at all, sincere.
