    And while I’m here…:

    THE BLACK KNIGHT
Dane’s ditched the cape and gone back to his old bomber jacket, w. new patches on the shoulders. He’s had trouble w. his Ebony Blade recently so he’s also gone back to his Light Sab…uh, Photon Sword. Though his origins are rooted in magic, Dane’s a physicist by trade, proficient in advanced sciences and technologies, including genetic and mechanical engineering.

    VALERIA VON DOOM
An older, alt-reality Valeria who’s visited the main MU before. Raised by Dr. Doom she has a working knowledge in both magic and science. Valeria has Negative Zone derived energy powers, and uses an invisi-belt in honor of her mother. Her go to in combat though, are her Doom-like gauntlets which pack quite a punch.

    M-11 THE HUMAN ROBOT
Built in the fifties, and built to last. M-11 has force field tech, a “Death Ray”, telescopic limbs it can electrify, can access any computer network on Earth, and, if shattered, it can pull itself back together Iron Giant style, a magical gift from a former associate, the eternal dragon Mr. Lao.

    DR. STRANGE
Doc Strange and Reed Richards are the go-to guys in their respective fields and there’s a mutual respect there. They helped found The Illuminati, and have each other's backs. As a renowned surgeon, Doc Strange knows his way around science.

    ANGELA
The statuesque redhead is the team’s unofficial fifth member, as their paths keep crossing in various magical scenarios. Sometimes she and the team have the same goals, sometimes they’re at odds.

    Here you go...

What if the Marvel Super-Heroes had never returned from the Secret Wars?

Avengers: - While the main team of Avengers are missing, Falcon calls upon the help of remaining Avengers (Vision, SW and Starfox, plus Hawkeye’s wife and ally Mockingbird) to help him against the threat of the Emissaries of Evil (Electro, Rhino, Whirlwind, Moonstone, Beatle). Sensing the authorities react better to them when, despite her advanced pregnancy, ally Invisible Woman decides to join them, Vision, after the mission, not only invites Sam, Bobbi and Sue to join the team, but also convinces remaining founding member Hank Pym to don once more the Yellowjacket uniform and to rejoin the team, even if in a purely scientific capacity. Pym notices the Vision’s strange new mood swings and personality shifts and is able to defuse the situation before the emotion crystal does too much damage corrupting him. Hercules, Black Widow, Black Panther, Tigra and Black Knight agree to serve as reserve members. Hank Pym and the Avengers also help Tony Stark get back on his feet, take back Stark International, and finally don once more the Iron Man armor, a new one. Beta Ray Bill is also invited into the team, after Thor disappears. Namor, the Sub-mariner and Quasar also get to eventually join the team. The Avengers soon faces major threats such as the return of Graviton, the Collector, Immortus, the threat of the New Zodiac and a new incarnation of the Masters of Evil.

    • Vision – Vision takes over when the Avengers disappears, and proceeds with his plans of peace through world conquest. His adding of founding Avenger Hank Pym to the team backfires when Hank notices the influence the control crystal is having over him and manages to overcome it, before any real harm is done. Ashamed, Vision accepts that he and the SW are still too vital to quit the Avengers, but decides to step down as leader. Sue Richards takes over for him, at first, only in the field, while Hank calls the shots from behind the scenes. Without the control crystal, Vision reverts to his more somber personality. 50 T
    • Scarlet Witch – Worried over her husband, Wanda really doesn’t want to be in the Avengers, but, for the moment, decides to stick around feeling that they are necessary for the team’s own survival in this time of crisis. She is actually relieved when the more reserved Vision returns.
    • Starfox – Eros brings much needed muscle and scientific knowledge in the field. He loves adventuring with the Avengers. 25 T
    • Falcon – Sam Wilson first comes to the Avengers for their help in dealing with a specific problem, however, soon decides to stay with the team, bringing to it credibility as Captain America’s former partner. Not used to being a team player, Sam, nonetheless, is an experienced and level-headed fighter, and often assists Sue when she takes over field command, even covering for her when she’s unavailable, due to her pregnancy and eventual motherhood.
    • Mockingbird – Feeling adrift, after her newlywed husband fails to return from Battleworld, Mockingbird is taken in by the Avengers, and is officially invited to join them permanently. A little ruthless at first for the Avengers style, in Hawkeye’s memory, Bobbi does her best to conform to the Avengers rules and standards, and ends up becoming a valued member of the team, not only for her athletic and combat prowess, but for her scientific mind also. Finds in Sam a good friend in her time of need, and, perhaps, with time, something more.
    • Invisible Woman – Sue Richards almost suffers a miscarriage when her husband and brother fail to return to Earth, but her life and that of her baby girl are saved by the intervention of Hank Pym. Moving permanently into the Mansion, where she feels she and her children will be better protected, as soon as she recovers from her pregnancy, Sue accepts the standing invitation to be made a member of the Avengers. She is accepted with open arms, and her power and experience make her one of the team’s most valued member. Adored by the general public, the Invisible Woman becomes the new public face of the team, and Sue, quite often, becomes a valued second in command for more experienced leader types. Sharing the similar grief of loss, Sue and Hank become very good friends, if not more.
    • Yellowjacket – Reluctant in returning to the team, Hank Pym is convinced by the Vision of the necessity of having a founding Avenger active for the survival of the team during this period of crisis. Knowing that Tony is still not ready to don the armor again, Hank decides to suit up again as Yellowjacket, with the express condition of only going into combat as a last resort, preferring to stick to the lab. Hank’s presence, however, is crucial not only in saving the life of the Invisible Woman and her unborn child, but also in preventing the Vision from taking over the world’s computers and in saving him. With time, and so many great successes under his belt, Hank becomes more confident and comfortable once again as a hero, going as far as working on improving once more his size-changing abilities, but he still prefers to stick to the labs.

Defenders: When the X-Men fail to return, Ice-Man decides to answer Moira’s call and go back to the X-Men, but Beast and Angel prefer to stay on and, with the help of the Avengers, make the Defenders the protectors of the West Coast. Hank convinces Wonder Man and Hellcat to join the team, giving it some Avengers credibility, but Gargoyle prefers to leave the team and join Daimon Hellstrom in his occult investigations agency, though they both agree to help in emergencies. Setting up shop in the old Champions building in L.A., they also convince Bill Foster (Black Goliath) to not only help them in the tech department, but also to stand in as reservist. Scott Lang (Ant-Man) also becomes a recurring ally. Firebird soon joins the team. The Angel’s Aire in New Mexico becomes a secondary HQ for the team. Among the threats faced by the new Defenders are Master Pandemonium, the return of Professor Power and the New Secret Empire, and the Grim Reaper and his new Lethal Legion.

    • Beast – 5 T. Hank McCoy has always wanted to make the Defenders a real team, and when the core of the Avengers, the FF and the X-Men disappear apparently to never return, Beast uses his old Avengers contacts to get some official status for the team as protectors of the west coast. Aside from his agility and strength, Hank’s scientific knowledge is of great value for the team. Hank and Warren function as co-leaders of the Defenders.
    • Wonder Man – 90 T. Convinced by his best friend, Hank McCoy to go back to super-heroing, despite his ascending career in Hollywood, Simon Williams is the backbone of the team in terms of power with his super-strength, flight and invulnerability.
    • Valkyrie – 45 T. The Defenders have always been the Valkyrie’s home, and when the Hulk goes missing, and Dr. Strange, Namor and Silver Surfer agree to never band together as a team again, she sticks with the Beast and her best friend, Hellcat, in their plan to make the New Defenders the official west-coast super-team. With Moondragon still her responsibility, Val finds in Simon Williams a worthy target for her attentions.
    • Moondragon – Still limited by the headband placed upon her head by Odin, Heather Douglas still struggles to prove herself worthy, but her ploy to seduce her male teammates seem to have failed when Ice-Man leaves, Wonder Man and Beast don’t seem so infatuated with her and even the renowned womanizer Angel seems to have made a conscious decision not to get involved with her. Despite her obnoxiousness and disruptive presence, Heather’s mental powers, martial arts expertise and technological know-how make her a valuable teammate.
    • Hellcat – Restless at home in San Francisco, and not feeling that she contributes much to her husband’s occult investigation firm, Patsy Walker doesn’t need much convincing to join a team with so many members with whom she shares a strong connection, such as the Beast, Valkyrie and Moondragon. The time apart even seems to help keep the torch burning in her recent marriage. Hellcat is super-agile and has claws that can cut steel.
    • Angel – Billionaire Warren Worthington III is the financial backer of the New Defenders, and the high-flying Angel one of its most dedicated members. The New Defenders was a dream that Warren shared with the Beast, a second chance at forging a worthy team of super-human protectors set in the west coast of the U.S., after the Champions disbanded, a team that, spearheaded by mutants, could actually serve to improve relations between humans and mutants. This is a dream that Warren feels so strongly about, that he chooses to ignore his infatuation with Moondragon for fear of it interfering with the success of the team. Warren and Hank function as co-leaders of the Defenders.

X-Men – When the X-Men don’t return from Battleworld, Banshee and Moira reach out to Havok to put together a team meant to rescue Kitty Pryde and the New Mutants from the clutches of Emma Frost and the Hellions. Calling upon former X-Men Polaris and Ice-Man, as well as ally Dazzler, the team not only manages to free Sprite and the kids from the Hellfire Club, but also manage to convince James Proudstar to give the X-Men a chance. Two key elements of the rescue were the curing of Banshee’s wounds by the Morlock healer, a payment in full of any debt that Calisto and the Morlocks may have had with the X-Men, and the recruiting of British telepath Elizabeth Braddock to protect the team from Emma Frost’s telepathic abilities. Though refusing to join, Sunfire, as well as founding members Beast and Angel, agree to help the team in emergencies and the X-Men soon make the acquaintance of Forge, who also helps them out, occasionally. Eventually, Emma Frost asks to join the team, fearing the more radicalized path the Hellfire Club is taking. Plus, Apocalypse and a larger Alliance of Evil Mutants is right around the corner.

    • Havok – When Banshee and Moira find out that the X-Men have disappeared, probably to never return again, and that Kitty and the New Mutants are under the power of the HFC, Alex Summers is the first person they go looking for. Feeling a sense of responsibility to take on Xavier and his brother’s work, Alex accepts to go with them, but is reluctant to lead, for he feels too inexperienced to do so, and that other members such as Ice-Man might not be happy to follow him. Banshee agrees to co-lead with him at first, but Alex soon proves to be quite a competent leader, even if a little bit unorthodox, going as far as devising the plan that leads them to their first victory over the HFC. Though in a faithfully committed relationship with Lorna Dane, his competitiveness with Dazzler makes not only Polaris jealous, but also Ice-Man, who has interest in Allison. Havok is able to metabolize cosmic energy into devastating blasts of power capable not only of generating incredible concussive force, but also searing heat.
    • Polaris – Always faithful and loyal to Havok, Lorna Dane is a boon for the team with her control of magnetic fields, a control almost as great as Magneto’s himself, who, like the X-Men themselves, has disappeared from the face of the Earth. She doesn’t like much the flirting going on between Alex and Allison, but, trusting Havok, keeps to herself.
    • Dazzler – Always insecure of her place in the world, Allison Blaire likes to compensate for this with a flirting personality, and finds in Alex Summers an attractive target for her affections, which doesn’t sit well with Polaris. A confrontation between the two of them might be inevitable, and her ability to convert sound into light might not be up to the task of facing the control of magnetism of one of the most powerful mutants on the planet.
    • Ice-Man – The X-Men has always been a home for Bobby Drake, and a chance to leave his mark even further in the team’s history seems like a dream come true for him, although the fact that his long-time rival is now in a position of leading the team transforms this into a nightmare for him. The fact that Alex not only is with Lorna, whom Bobby once loved, but is also the target of his current infatuation’s affections, Allison, only make things worse. Unless something is done, the fraction between two of the most veteran members of the team may tear it apart.
    • Banshee – When he and Moira find out that the X-Men have disappeared, probably to never return again, and that Kitty and the New Mutants are under the power of the HFC, Sean Cassiday decides that the world still needs X-Men and sets out to assemble a new team. After recruiting Havok, Polaris, Dazzler and Ice-Man, who brings along Cloud, and being turned down by Beast and Angel, who still say they will be around to help in emergencies, Havok insists that they also need Banshee in the field. Looking up the Morlocks, they negotiate for the healer to fully take care of his injuries in exchange for a clean slate for the Morlocks. Fully healed, with the help of unknown factor Cloud, Banshee manages to covertly take out Emma Frost and the HFC with subsonics, before they even knew what hit them. Eventually, as co-headmaster of the school, Sean prefers to dedicate himself more to teaching than the heroics of the X-Men. Banshee possesses a sonic scream that he can modulate for a variety of effects.
    • Thunderbird II – 20 T. After the X-Men deal with the Hellfire Club and the Hellions, James Proudstar pretends to leave the Hellions and to accept the X-Men's offer to join them, his intent, in reality, to kill Banshee, whom he considers responsible for his brother's death, and destroy the team. However, James eventually sees that Banshee is innocent and stays on with the team, becoming its much needed muscle.
    • Sprite – Teen genius Kiity Pryde ends up becoming the team's resident scientist. However, due to her age, while they admit she is a full member of the team, Moira and Sean still insist for Kitty to only go into the field on special occasions. Cloud and Kitty soon become good friends.
    • Psylocke - British telepath Betsy Braddock seeks out Moira MacTarget in Muir Island, and finds out that she is now running the school. Coming to America after her, Betsy decides to put her telepathy at the team’s service, but prefers to stay working with Moira as her assistant, instead of going in the field, doing so only when there is no other resource.
    • Cloud - Seeking to distance herself from her confusing feelings for Moondragon, Cloud prefers to join Ice-Man in the X-Men, becoming an unofficial member, even if no one is sure if she's a mutant, or what she is. Despite Bobby’s initial interest on her, they have settled on just being good friends.

New Mutants: Under Moira’s guidance, the X-Men set out to locate and help out more young mutants, who they enlist in the New Mutants, expanding their ranks. Some modifications Moira does on Cerebro allows the mutant locator to actually locate mutants whose powers still haven’t manifested, though are near to do so at this moment. Psylocke operates Cerebro in Xavier’s absence. Banshee also takes a more active hand in their training, as he does with neotype X-Men Cloud, Sprite, Psylocke, Thunderbird and Dazzler. The New Mutants soon become targets for the Shadow King.

    • Cannonball – Sam Guthrie is the New Mutants co-leader. As the oldest, feels deeply responsible for the team. Although infatuated with Amara, soon finds himself in a relationship with Boom Boom.
    • Mirage – Dani Moonstar is the other co-leader of the team. More aggressive and impulsive than Sam, she often needs his more rational approach to hold her back.
    • Wolfsbane – 5 T. Rahne Sinclair. Shy, introverted but extremely loyal. Has a crush on Sam, but has a strong bond with Dani.
    • Magma – Amara Aquila. Arguably the most powerful member of the team. Has her affections divided between Rusty and Bobby.
    • Sunspot – 15 T. Arrogant, vain and entitled, Roberto da Costa is, nonetheless, actually not having a real home to go back to in Brazil, very loyal to the team. With his ability to convert solar energy into strength, Bobby is the muscle of the team.
    • Firefist – Rusty Collins. The X-Men manage to reach Rusty before he actually enlists in the Navy, and, that way, his incendiary powers first manifest themselves under controlled conditions. This allows Rusty to develop his abilities with much more confidence, without the trauma that his first manifestation did cause.
    • Rictor – Julio Richter. Also found e recruited before he falls into the hands of the RIGHT organization. Rictor actually shows himself to be quite a tough guy. Develops a crush on Rahne.
    • Boom Boom – Tabitha Smith. Already on the run and living on the streets, Boom Boom is happy to have a home where she doesn’t have to fear abuse and where she gets to have real friends. Plus, she hopes she and Sam will become more than just friends.

The Fantastic Foundation – Ran out of the Baxter Building by the Black Panther and the Invisible Woman. A team of explorers funded by Wakanda and the Fantastic Four Foundation that deals with, for lack of a better world, the fantastic. And among their greatest opponents are the Heir of Doom, Kristof Vernard, ruler of Lativeria with the knowledge of Victor Von Doom, the Mole Man and a new Frightful Four.

    • Wyatt Wingfoot – Field leader of the Fantastic Foundation. An old friend and ally of the Fantastic Four carries on their legacy. Without any actual powers, though an Olympic level athlete, Wyatt depends a lot of the scientific marvels once conceived by Reed Richards.
    • Ant Man – Scott Lang. On top of his incredible size-changing abilities, as an electric engineer, Scott is quite handy to have on the team.
    • Crystal – Of all the team, the only one to have truly been a member of the Fantastic Four. As an Elemental, Crystal’s control, greater than ever, of Wind, Fire, Water and Earth make her a force to be reckoned with. Her relationship with her husband, Quicksilver, is greatly strengthened by working together with him in the team, as they also find new ways to complement each other’s powers.
    • Quicksilver – Though reluctant at first to join, he does so at his wife’s, Crystal, insistence, and it proves to be very beneficial for their relationship to be away from Attilan and her family and to have each other’s lives depending more and more on their trust during battle. With his great speed, and a little help of his wife’s winds, at first, Pietro rediscovers his abilities to fly short distances.
    • Thundra – Due to her loyalty to the Thing’s memory, Thundra decides to tag along with the team, putting her amazing strength and durability to great use. The team’s power house. 85 T

Power Man & Iron Fist – With the disappearance of Spider-Man and the FF, H4H business is better than ever, and the duo becomes regular features in NY as some of its most widely known protectors.
Daredevil – Alongside PM & IF, the Man without Fear has more work than ever as protector of NY.
Dr. Strange – The good doctor continues to protect Earth from supernatural threats, though now he seems to resort less on outside help and allies, having terminated his association with the Defenders.

Among the major threats that still remain at large to menace the Earth are Graviton, The Emissaries of Evil (Electro, Rhino, Whirlwind, Moonstone, Beatle), The New Masters of Evil (Zemo, Grey Gargoyle, Mr. Hyde, Screaming Mimi, Quicksand, Goliath, Tiger Shark, The Melter, The Scorpion, the Fixer, The Living Laser), The Lethal Legion (Grim Reaper, Nekra, Black Talon, Man-Ape, Porcupine, Vibro and the Constrictor), The Red Skull and his enhanced Skeleton Crew, Immortus, Apocalypse and his Alliance of Evil Mutants, the Hell-Fire Club, The Heir of Doom, the Mole Man, The Frightful Four, The Serpent Society.

Soon I'll post the other one. It's shaping out to be even bigger than this one, but so much fun.

I’ve no idea what you do for a living but if it isn’t this, it’s a damn shame!

I really like your Fantastic Foundation premise, line up, bad guys…!
Would’ve loved to see your take on the FF mantle being taken up by a Challengers of The Unknown type team (Jack Kirby’s original FF type team).
You including Wyatt Wingfoot in your FF is what brings it to mind as I’ve used him in a Challengers build as the team’s big guy (Rocky); I had Rick Jones as the daredevil (Red), and John Jameson as the pilot (Ace). I can’t remember who I had as the scientist and “honorary female” challenger.
Anyway I’m rambling. Again, what great world building on your part!

LOL! No, unfortunately, it's not this. And, although I do work with writing in some ways, I would never make it in today's market. I favor the writing style of the 80's and some of the 90's. Use the past lore to build the future. Foccus on characters development and interaction and heavy on conflict and action. It's not the way they do it nowadays. I don't have much intrest in subverting expectations. I prefer meeting them. I'm kind of a very anxious person, and, not wanting to resort to medcines of any kind, I developed this technique that helps me keep my thoughts in check and not wandering to unpleasent things when I go to sleep. I keep coming up with these line-ups and establishing connections, and this helps me doze off, when I'm too wired. Afterwards, I try to sit down and better order and develop them. That's where all this comes from. As you may guess, I read very little current material nowadays, prefering to spend my money on collected material of things I did enjoy in the past (I'm a fan of the huge Epic Collections), and even things I wanted to read, but never got around to doing it. There are some independent creators that are trying to bring back the style of comics I enjoy. I do hope they are successful and that this does bleed back to mainstream comics. While this, I do this kind of things.

^^^Good deal, man. The way you like to approach your writing reminds of some of my favorite industry guys; Waid, Busiek, Johns, PAD, Nicieza…all have shades of what you describe and I mean that as a compliment.
I understand and share your reasoning for doing these things. I retired from the Army in 2013 w. PTSD and TBI. If I’m not careful I tend to just zone out and certain sounds and crowds make my skin crawl. The builds keep my mind active (thinking up concepts, researching characters, putting pics together), even when I’m not actually working on something if I have an idea I can keep turning it over in the back of my mind instead of just staring into space!

    ^^^Ty very much!

Hope you get a laugh out of the below; it was a challenge at another site, where my love of the Defenders Big Four is well known. A live action team…set in the old west. Here’s what I came up w…:

^^^My premise was loosely based on the Roy Thomas Defenders origin story where Doc Strange teams with Hulk and Namor to stop an invasion by alien beings known as the Undying Ones and their leader, the Nameless One. I had to add a Silver Surfer character to the mix, too.

DR. LAO (7 Faces of Dr. Lao), Dr. Strange
The inscrutable shape shifting Wizard travels the west w. his medicine show, dispensing wisdom, whimsy, and a little snake oil here and there. When he comes across a plot by a group of rich anarchist bad guys to use recently unearthed alien tech and open up a bridge (wormhole) for alien invaders to reach the earth (the invaders promise the bad guys they’ll get to rule half the planet while the other half is stripped of material wealth and genetic material), well, he’s not having any of that. Dr. Lao’s confident he can use his Magicks to stop the bridge from reaching end to end, but not while fending off the small army of henchmen the bad guys have in their employ. So he goes looking for some back up…

    MONGO (Blazing Saddles), The Hulk
Laugh if you will but Mongo’s got the Hulk-ish intelligence level and is arguably the strongest human being in the old west. He rides an ox, punches out horses, easily squishes a dozen men w. a piano, survives explosions, breaks steel chains by waking up and yawning, and bullets just make him mad. Once Dr. Lao explains the situation Mongo agrees to help. Mongo knows he’s “only pawn in game of life” but Dr. Lao’s been straight w. him, and that goes a long way towards building trust.

    JOE (Navajo Joe), Namor
The Indian Warrior doesn’t have Namor’s better-than-you thing going on but he’s a guy caught between two worlds. Since his tribe was killed off and he went on a roaring rampage of revenge, killing the ones responsible (saving a town full of white ppl in the process), Joe’s been on his own. No other tribe he’s encountered feels right and no white man’s town will tolerate him for long. He’s dubious of Dr. Lao at first but once he believes the wizard’s amazing story Joe agrees to help. Him and Mongo don’t have the antagonistic Hulk-Namor vibe but Joe resists the big man’s friendly overtures, and is trying hard not to crack a smile at Mongo’s antics. Joe feels he’s just here to be stoic and kick ass, not make friends.

THE DOCTOR (Dr. Who), Silver Surfer
The 11th Doctor’s been in the old west before, in the series episode “A town called Mercy”, so why not again! Always up for stopping alien invasions the Doctor shows up a bit worse for wear thanks to a convenient plot device, and without his stalwart Companions. He doesn’t let that stop him though and undeterred begins a cross country trek to find and shutdown the impending alien invasion facilitating wormhole. Imagine his surprise when he crosses paths w. a wizard, a human juggernaut, and a deadly Indian warrior, all on the same mission as him. The Doctor feels good about this meeting and believes that together they’ll rise to the challenge of being Earth’s Defenders.

    EDIT,
I got dinged/lost points for not going into detail on the bad guys I mentioned but that actually fell together pretty easy when I thought on it…:

ARLISS LOVELESS (Wild Wild West), rich anarchist bad guy
The genius inventor seems like the type to take advantage of recently unearthed alien tech. I can also see him jumping at the chance to rule half the planet and screw the other half. His partners on this are the same guys he met w. in the Wild Wild West movie to divvy up the Country.

MANGALORES (The Fifth Element), alien invaders
These guys were shown to be pretty ruthless. They were used to comedic effect in The Fifth Element but we’re also shown to be dangerous. I can only imagine a planetary invasion sized force of these guys would be nothing to laugh at.

THE GREAT EVIL (The Fifth Element), the Nameless One
The events in The Fifth Element wasn’t the first time this ancient evil tried to take over/destroy the Earth, so I think he works as the overall big bad here.

    ^^^Ive seen them all, too!

Dr. Who’s had a couple of movies, yeah? I’m not a big enough fan to actually know the answer. As a kid I loved the 4th Doctor (but everyone does) and never watched regularly until the 13th Doctor.

The Marvel take on a DC New 52 group.

Namor and the Alternates. Recently recovering his memory and not finding Atlantis and his people where they were supposed to be, Namor comes across the threat of the ressurection of the Sorcerer. No longer being able to count on any of the allies he might have had in WWII, most of which he barely recalls, he seeks out some alternatives. The original Alternates are:

Namor - The Atlantean Prince's memories may not yet be completely returned, however his great power remains undiminished.
Dominic Fortune - The first one whose path crosses Namor's. Spy and adventurer.
Zwadi - Protector of the Wakandian Jungle. Skilled hunter, agile, fast and strong.
Devastator - Kirkov Petrova, still developing his prototype suit. Microwave manipulation.
The Blue Shield - Frank Cartelli, developing the force-field belt that later his son would use to infiltrate the mob.
Talisman - The Sorcerers adversary, a young girl travelling through time to prevent his ressurection.

Namor and the Alternates manage to prevent the Sorcerer's Cult from bringing back its master, however, in the present day, a new threat may force Namor to seek out the successors of his previous allies to fight it.

    Peace

Sounds interesting. Did you use Cantwell‘s original idea of naming Iron Man’s space friends team, the Alternates?

Not really. Haven't read much of Cantwell's Iron Man. Great art, but the way he pictured Tony as a perpetual loser, who pratically had to apologize for being smart rich and successful, and Patsy (out of the blue) as that perfect, know it all hero, who castrated him at every turn, turned me off since the first issues. So I never got to the point of his space team (even though it featured some favorites), and I never knew they were named the Alternates. I just looked for a synonym for the Others that wouldn't sound TOO lame (not that the Others is such a GREAT super-hero team name, mind you). Just one of those coincidences of life (even though every detective show claims that there isn't such thing as a coincidence, I'll beg to differ).

    Peace
