surprised that this happened under Gorgon's watch. he's a super genius who has led a much larger scale attack on a well-guarded target.
long time ago. i think it was when Mikhail Rasputin was stirring up trouble in the Morlock tunnels.

He may look like an old man but that doesnt mean he is susceptible to the same disadvantage as most old people. For all we know he may have an expanded life span like other older looking characters such as Destiny
That means little with the status quo that Dawn of X exists in. He theoretically has an indefinite number of years left bc they can just keep bringing him back

Why was Xavier alone? He’s going to a crucial public meeting with the president of Sokovia and he has no body guards or escorts, nobody standing by at the gate incase something goes wrong. I mean, where’s Magneto during all of this?
i was mostly joking before when i suggested that Xavier set all of this up. but it makes sense that they'd want to test Krakoa's defenses. this might have been a little test to see how creative the humans could be in coming for them. if Wolverine sees them as soft, then you better believe that someone like Magneto and/or Apocalypse see it similarly.
This was my least favorite of the #1s so far. It was OK, but felt a bit disjointed and some of the twists felt cheap (though the Domino one was very chilling). I'm sure we'll get some answers next issue that will make some stuff from this one make sense. The art was pretty.
By the way, Sage was truly incompetent here. She's way smarter than this. Humpf!
Still really enjoying DOX, though.
X-Force was good. I liked it. I LOVE how Tom Cassidy is used here very creative....
Yo, this was F'd up! Thrilling stuff. Now off to read the comments.
Damn.
OK then. I'm still pulling myself back together. Poor Piotr and the trauma he experienced. Domino - ugh I cringe thinking about them skinning her. This is why, to me, the resurrection thing doesn't mean "no risk". In fact, should the humans already know that they can be brought back, they'll torture her even more for sport if she isn't already dead.
Black Tom was the star for me and how defeated he felt was sad. The mutants messed up and got comfortable. They will work hard to make sure this doesn't happen again.
Interesting how in Percy's script he specifically didn't want the artist the use any mutants in other books, "since the recovery time will be an impediment to narrative".
And in case this wasn't mentioned before, from Percy's script: "It contains a tiny tracker bot he is about to ingest. Closer still as Xavier drinks from the flute and the track floats toward his mouth".
Sokovia is going to burn. And I'm bringing the matches.
