Default Disney / Marvel - the Duck War

Now that Disney owns Marvel, I have a question about Howard the ax I

Remember when Disney sued Marvel over Howard the Duck? Marvel had to put pants on Howard!

Now that they are under the same ownership, can the pants be left off Howard and he be returned to his original appearance??

In theory yes, but him having pants has become too well established, so I wouldn't expect him to lose them now.

Worldwide, Donald Duck Comics is a bigger deal than Howard the Duck, and those comics have a big part of the global market, so Walt Disney will see less incentive to help Howard, who was always a niche-obscure character, in favor of one of their most beloved and top-earning classic characters.
