Grand Design isn't even intended to be canon. It's more one man's personal interpretation or attempt to tie together a bunch of ad hoc and one-off stories from ages ago. It worked a lot better in the earlier phases but by the time of 80s and 90s started not being really as necessary. But the Grand Design #1 is really amazing how it tries to unite these wildly disparate narratives/events.
Forget the old ways - Krakoa is god.

I'm intrigued, but everyone still sounds alittle off to me. It's almost like we're getting a Stepford or sitcom version of these characters. I do think that Rachel is being sarcastic (like in the Gold moment) to Scott by calling him "father", as she has never done that before. He's always Scott or Dad. I hope this leads to something nice for Rachel with Nate and Scott as she has mostly been left out of any real Summers/Grey moments for a variety of reasons.
I don't think it is meant to be take literal, these is how these characters behaviors.
The art doesn't help, thi sis some really bad art. No emotions, no moviments. Choosing Yu for this book was a mistake
His art on captain america was better, maybe not enough time to draw, as we already have the issue running late

"Hey, kids"
"Hi, dad. What's up?"
"Not much. Charles got shot again"
"Was it Bishop?"
"Now, Nathaniel. You know we don't talk about that. Y'all wanna help your old man hunt some monsters."
"Yaaa"
Piskor's version was that they were both from the DoFP timeline but got sent back to different points in the past (b4 X-Tinction Agenda) to prevent it from happening.

"Cable was right!"
Logan being the bio dad only works out of pity for Claremont and his grudge against Cyclops, since that's the only reason that was ever an idea.
Just seems to get worse doesn't it? Is there any thing in the world less humorous than Hickman trying to be funny. The Emperor has no Clothes. Wake me when this is all done.
