Flash vs the Road Runner
Flash vs the Road Runner
Really? This is a ridiculous stomp in Barry’s favour.
Road Runner is at best a couple of Mach with a bit of toon-forcing.
Flash runs at billions of times the speed of light, can speed-steal, time-travel, etc, etc...
Technically speaking, MichaelC didn't specify *which* Flash, so it could be about *the* Road Runner fighting MCU Flash Thompson in the arena.
Now can somebody breakdown Slowpoke Rodriguez vs the Turtle?
Yup, Mach 2 tops, some Toonforce creation of tunnels and some probability manipulation. Maybe if this was the 1990 television Flash, maybe. But, even then, no actual offense for the Road Runner.
And he's such a cute, lovable little creature. Why would anyone except Wile E. Coyote want to murder him?
Power with Girl is better.
The most hilarious thing is that, when you compare the two real life animals, not only is the coyote MUCH faster than the road runner, but I believe he can go at top speed for longer as well. Not that the bird is even something a coyote would ever be interested in eating, but it could catch one fairly easily.
Well Road Runner's supposed to represent youth and freedom, and the Coyote's supposed to represent The Man. It's right there in the song, which has the subtext of being about a youth in a car enjoying the freedom of the road, honking his horn, beep beep, while the coyote tries to "make him change his ways", not eat him.
If you're on the highway and Road Runner goes beep beep.
Just step aside or might end up in a heap.
Road Runner, Road Runner runs on the road all day.
Even the coyote can't make him change his ways.
Road Runner, the coyote's after you.
Road Runner, if he catches you you're through.
Road Runner, the coyote's after you.
Road Runner, if he catches you you're through.
That coyote is really a crazy clown,
When will he learn he can never mow him down?
Poor little Road Runner never bothers anyone,
Just runnin' down the road's his idea of having fun.
That's why the Coyote always uses stuff from a corporation that has the most generic, mass produced, cubicle, opening scene from "Joe Versus The Volcano" name imaginable: Acme. The Coyote embodies The Man, which is why one of his few appearances outside of Road Runner is about him stealing sheep as a punchclock job.
I find it interesting that Coyote is traditionally a symbol of cunning, and he technically here is as well, but it's framed in a poor light. Coyote here is the symbol of old age and impotence using guile to try to defeat the Aries and Ares like symbol of youth and potence. So Coyote uses guile but that guile takes the form of generic corporate tools, and the Road Runner repeatedly wins by being so free and potent that his potency literally warps reality.

Why are we here?
"Superboy Prime (the yelling guy if he needs clarification)..." - Postmania
"...dropping an orca whale made of fire on your enemies is a pretty strong opening move." - Nik
"Why throw punches when you can be making everyone around you sterile mutant corpses?" - Pendaran, regarding Dr. Fate
Chuck Jones laid down some rules for Roadrunner cartoons when he first created Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote.
Quite a lot of those were broken later though...
The MunchKING is Back! And he is AWSOME!
