Dragonball M, Chapter 4: Kidnapping! Invasion! A new Threat Strikes First!

They are at about half strength.

A tsking sound from the man, and Inanna your blood suddenly seems to...jerk..as more starts pouring from the thumb wound and into the man’s staff.

That'll do for now.

Turning to face the man responsible for the continuation of her exsanguination; Inanna grinned. "Awful nice staff you got there~" More amusingly was the fact that she was in fact... bleeding A LOT. Ah well, she'd never been known for moderation. The woman snapped. Her blood caught fire and detonated.

"This might tickle~"

His eyes widen.

“Wow! A princess huh? I only ever met Vegeta, and he’s always going on about he’s the Prince of all Saiyans. Are you two related?

He looks around.

“Don’t know why I’m here. This didn’t happen the first time I was dead.”

"I don't know anyone named Vegeta, sorry."

Am I high? Was I poisoned? Is this even really happening?

These questions cycled through her head at varying intervals as this Goku was speaking. He claimed that he had died before and this hadn't happened that time.

She could safely agree. Shek'hinah said nothing of postmortem hallucinations, least of all about people she had never seen or met before. "It didn't happened the last I died either." She tried to exert some kind of effort over her astral projection so she could return to her body. "It was very nice meeting you, but I really need to get back. I have a god to kill." She tried to swim back to her body, knowing full well how ridiculous she looked.

The Knight takes most of the attack, his armor cracking but holding up.

He vanished and reappears behind Zaofan, one blade aiming at the Queen and another at him. Darn stretching limbs.

Success! At least for the moment, as the ruby-quartz flooded the chamber in front of him. Something seemed a little off, though, had there been a bit of give?

Ah. Of course. Without any resistance before him, there was only one blind angle of attack. "Heh." And so, Zaofan let his staff hang at waist-level.

With shining blue, in an instant the Valiantium Staff extended behind him off of its Katchin core, intent on pushing the Golden knight out of the room...and back out the way they'd come in.

The Silver Knight grunts and muffles a curse.

“The planet! Master Auroc has enough power to rip the last vestiges from Reshlan if all is lost! When..when that happens the Rune will activate and this planet, and...everything...around will be destroyed. The Grand Maven and Lord Auroc....have learned to preserve....our minds....and we shall be...given.....perfected forms! The....Threshling race shall.....survive and...become masters of...the stars. You cannot...stop the tide...that is coming, guttertrash!”

His leg bends awkwardly, whipping up and attempting to kick Ochazuke off him.

In this compromised position, it took no effort at all to feel the momentum shift through the warrior's kinetic chain. Was it bravado? Desperation?

Stupidity.

The limb whipped, and Ochazuke redirected the force. Using Seisui Tensho, he swiftly overturned the knight at the hip, and in this inverted state let him fall callously upon his neck.

"Cheh."

Of course, now that this contingency was uncovered, it was quite possible the zealotry of Reshlan would redouble as a result.

Reaching up to his ear, he pinged the group communicator and reached out over the psionic connection. "What's the situation up there? I've discovered a rune array beneath the Capital. It seems Auroc has weaved a particular spell down here, and from what his knights have said, his Maven is willing to destroy the entire planet if it means victory."

Cautiously approaching the seal, he knelt down and examined the array with Muhen Sekai Keihatsu, tracing its path through the mantle and searching, in particular, for the range of the spell, and where it was drawing its power from.

Activating her communicator (OOC: I am assuming she and others have one, if not I'll edit) Dash calls out, "Watch out, Auroc fell apart an is now raining down an spreading out."

As she tries to avoid the Black Rain, her Aura shifts as does her armor. Her hair and eyes take on a reddish color and her armor morphs into one that was various shades of red. The Fire Armor, the one that boosts her Ki reserves, as well as giving her control over fire, heat, and light.

OOC: Cleric, what does Dash see? Is it just black rain or is something else going on?

OOC: I see.

IC: Voyavoda blinked when the priestess froze and then shattered. Well, he was quite certain that was not what he was going for. How... unfortunate for the young lady. Saying a prayer for the departed, he scanned the flows of energy... and discovered something quite interesting.

It had not been the Maven that had done that, but... some other force. Yet more hidden enemies...

Turning his attention to this new threat, he attempted to gain a 'lead' on it, focusing his Shingan on the wisps of cold energy clinging to the shattered priestess. An opponent that could modify the nature and intent of another's aura was rare indeed... and a dire threat. One that had to be put down swiftly and without hesitation.

Meanwhile, Seri had survived the spike, but the attempt had thrown her back--in this case, downwards--and she bounced upon impact with the ground. Of course, this also knocked the wind out of her, and she rolled onto her back, wincing in pain.

...I'm totally in over my head. But I can't give up now!

Sitting up, she glanced to where Auroc had been. In the little bit she'd been recovering, he'd disappeared and... oh crap, there was tons of that black goop that made people into bad guys in the sky! What the heck!?

There, high above in the top of the cathedral ceiling, an invisible foe is invisible. She is the culprit.

Seri, some of the black stuff starts falling and then swirling towards you.

Amidst the black rain, something is there within the center part perpetuating it.

The Knight grunts as he is flung out of the room. A moment later, his helmet rolls in as he’s been knocked unconscious.

The Silver Knight falls limp as you examine the rune.

It’s been stamped deep into the planet, and tied back to the Maven and Auroc. Seems either can trigger it. The triggering range is within 100 miles it seems.

He also finds that if either are killed, potentially the shock of it could trigger the tune to go off. Possibly.

Inanna, a swirling dome of force, lined with silver tunic banding, surrounded you and the old man. It contains the massive explosion, though the ground suffers a massive crater.

The staff he holds pulses and the conflagration is sucked into it as if it were a black hole of sorts.

Sweat beads on his forehead.

“That was a bit much, Miss. Be Still.”

He attempts to channel temporal magic, with a blood component taken from you, and stop you in your tracks.

Goku looks interested.

“A god, huh? Man, I’ve only fought really tough guys like Piccolo, Vegeta, Freiza, some Androids, and a bad green android named Cell. Man, he was something. Never fought a god though.”

Goku hovers nearby as Parsley finds she has only little control over her astral form.

Goku sweatdrops.

“You know your dead right? You have a halo and everything.”

Piccolo was a Namekian name, Vegeta a Saiyan, and Freeza an Arcosian. Quite the assortment of foes, and ones that paralleled her own.

I can't move..., she realized. When Goku spoke next, a cold chill tore through her chest. "No, that's impossible!" She reached up and felt the very same halo she had when she died the first time. "NO! There's no way some two-bit coward could kill me! Not from a sword and not while I was a Super Saiyan!"

She was just playing possum, making it seem like she was dead so she could easily get the drop on the noble and give him a taste of his own underhandedness. "There's been some kind of mistake. Besides, I would have passed over to Otherworld by now."

It dissipates, leaving Seri untouched.

"Time magic?" Inanna scowls. "You. Little. ****."

The woman drew a black arrow from nothing, and nocked it. "Mistakes like this happen but once in a lifetime. Hakai." Without much caring for the collateral, Inanna released the arrow of condensed Hakai straight and true.

It dissipates, leaving Seri untouched.

Seeing this, Dash then looks around for more of the Auroc Black Goo. She isn't sure how many times she can do this before transforming back. Still, she facilitated this mess, she was gonna do what she could to clean it up.
