Seeing Nevalinna however, makes him frown even more.

“Armor? So, that traitor Knight showed you the secret craft. You are unfit to wear such a prize. Your insolence is matches my your mother’s, though at least she had the power to back her words up.”

He grins, head still twisted around multiple times.

“She fought hard, little princess, but what is a Queen compared to a God? Little and less it seems.”

His eyes track to Inanna.

“And you. A pretender to godhood. Fancy powers won’t save you from me, little Oni, and whatever that barrier is won’t save your wife.”

He gestures and a portion of his black vomit still on Sarada turns into an actual portal that swiftly swallows Sarada whole before dissipating.

“And now she’s all mine.”

His head snap spins back around and he swiftly grabs Inanna and prepares to vomit all over her face this time, readying to convert her.
The barb, if it could be considered such, meant absolutely nothing to Inanna, the moment Sarada and their child were subsumed and whisked away. The fact that Auroc intended to vomit on her and attempt however futilely, meant even less.

He'd taken her Little Love ... their child. Meant to corrupt them and make them unwilling slaves.

Why ?

A little more power ... nothing more.

And for all her hard work, and the hell she'd undergone to find her happiness ? She wasn't strong enough. He was going to get away with it ... and she'd lose them.

No ...

Inanna's arm dropped down to her side, and she hung suspended above Vocado's battered landscape. Not again ... And when Neva knocked Auroc away, the golden-eyed woman she didn't notice.

What was she to do, when the Universe considered to take away from her what she loved, and cared for ? Kept building her up only to just as quickly attempt tearing her down, in some sort of perverted attempt to balance the scales if for no other reason than 'because the Gods will it' ?

Give up ?

No ... she'd promised, and though she was not forced into it; she wouldn't simply cave and quit. But was it worth fighting ? Playing the game ?

Inanna clenched her fists. "No ..."

And yet ... her love was gone, and would die if she didn't do something. Because a God however false, willed it.

So what then did that leave her ? To kill him, and get her back. Whatever it took.

"..."

The golden-eyed woman dropped down to the planet's surface. She needed energy. Power ... and the planet was already dying. So what was a few drops more siphoned from it ?

Nothing.

... so she spread her palms.
