Which writers were there and what kind of stories? DC should do that again.

There was a time not long ago, when "graphic novels" were called trade paperbacks. Much like microbrew is what "craft beer" was called.

There's several Batman originals among them (as well as some adaptations of prose and movie/TV stories. There's also several original Batman stories that are based on the status quo of the various animated series that were produced as YA novels. Then there's novels based on Batman video games as well).

But as far as original novels/short story collections that haven't been mentioned yet...

The stories in the Further Adventures books were also collected with other new stories in a trio of books called: Legends of the Batman, Tales of the Batman and The Adventures of Batman in 1997.

Batman: The Stone King was an original Batman novel by Batman writer Alan Grant and was part of a series of novels based onJLA characters that had some interconnections.

There was the Batman Murders by Craig Shaw Gardner (who wrote the novelization of the first Batman movie by Burton) released in 1990, Batman to Stalk a Spectre by Simon Hawke and a Joe Landsdale Batman original novel called Batman: Captured by the Engines published in 1991.

Andrew Vacchs did Batman: The Ultimate Evil published int he mid-90s.

There's The Forensic Files of Batman, a short story collection overseen by Doug Moench who had a long run as Batman writer in the 80s.

There were a trio of novels done circa 2006-2207 at the height of the Nolan Batman popularity called Dead White,Inferno and Fear Itself.

There was Wayne of Gotham by Tracy Hickman (of Dragonlance fame) that is a bit of an Elseworlds type novel.

The most recent I am aware of is Batman: Night Walker by Marie Lu, which was a YA novel.

I am sure I am missing or forgetting some as well, but there's plenty out there if that is what you are looking for.

I’ve got all of those. There were some really great stories in there. I love those books. I have one that’s all Superman stories too.
