If you could change any X-men sexuality, who would it be? Why?

Rachel being confirmed a lesbian is apparently happening and I can't wait. Even as a child I knew she was one.

Magik being asexual could be very interesting too. We don't have many of them represented and I think Yana is a perfect candidate for it.

I’d be up for both of these, asexual representation is very rare.

Emma Frost - confirmed bisexual
Sunspot - confirmed bisexual or gay

That's all I could think of off the top of my head, I am sure there are lots more characters whose sexuality has been ambiguous because of stupid subtext and fear of actually being blatant about it.

I won't comment on the others but I definitely think CC tried to present the idea of a love triangle between Kurt/Ororo/Logan and in more than just the straight way, and that was going to be the surprise. Just things I remember him saying at the time too. But wasn.t as invested in it as the thing with Kitty in Mechanix and X-Treme,

None. I don't think mutants see sexuality like humans or rather in a perfect mutant world they shouldn't. In a world where you are sleeping with a shark girl or a cat man or any number of other steel or rock like mutations does sexuality really matter more than connection. especially in a world where you were up until recently huddled in small sectors desperately trying to survive.

I think this an oversimplification. Skin color and sexuality can be huge defining factors in people’s lives (often not even by their own choice), it just doesn’t have to the ONLY defining factor.

Of course it can in indirect fashion (Magneto was sent to death camp because he was Jewish, experience which ended up largely defining him). However on the other hand, Kitty Pryde would probably be largely same person regardless of if she was Jewish or not.
