In the end it's Cyclops x Wolverine and I'll accept no substitutes.

Why not eliminate the need to even change to a finite definition?
Gender fluid.
Sexuality is changing.
“The reason of the unreasonableness which against my reason is wrought, doth so weaken my reason, as with all reason I do justly complain on your beauty.”
― Miguel de Cervantes Don Quixote
I really wish Colossus was Gay in 616. I thought it worked so naturally in Ultimates.
Psylocke Captain Britain Rictor Dust Moonstar Hellion
Jubilee - pan
Logan - pan
Indra - gay
Shark Girl - lesbian
Dani - lesbian
Illyana - ace
Kitty - bi
Cannonball - bi
This is probably the best thread on the X-Books to talk about this but did y’all catch that Fauna has gender neutral pronouns?
Wolverine - bi (like father like son, as others have said)
Nightcrawler - repressed bi, but definitely has a thing for Wolverine (there's that infamous naked shot of them together)
Colossus - gay (I liked hsi Ultimate Universe version, and if he's straight he's just going to keep not-being a thing with Kitty
Johnny Storm - gay for the lols.
It’s a new age for mutants and we already see them using mutsnt names, wearing mutant clothes, living on a mutant island. I think their definition of sexuality should be pushed more towards sexual configuration rather than orientation. That way everyone could be sexually fluid while not necessarily erasing gay/lesbian identities.
Wait. Actually Chamber’s probably just talking about Synch and Penance BUT at least we still have Madin
Make Logan bi and have him on an incestuous hate-fuck relationship with Daken.
tabby already bi there's nothin' to change
xavier will get down with anyone that reaffirms that he is smart
I don't blind date I make the direct market vibrate
It's such a minefield that I wouldn't. There's NO way to do it that isn't going to cause a colossal shit storm on all sides. Kobayashi Maru.
Instead I'd make use of the characters who are already canonically LGBT but not getting much attention.
