This series is going to be worth it just to see Cassandra Cain as Batgirl again:

Well Tom Taylor already had my money with Red Hood, but Cass as Batgirl and Rose as Deathstroke guarentee first day pick up.

I thought it was odd that the last series ended with Harley left on the doomed Earth considering the writer now I get why. Harley wasn't just making the ultimate sacrifice for love, the story just wasn't over.

I don't even think either covers Red Hood to be honest. Especially compared to other 'Heroes' in the family

Jason has dipped into the anti-hero thing a few times here and there. So I can't really say its wrong.

But Cass being included, that is a headscratcher.

I mean just because other members of the family are doing more questionable things and walking a darker path doesn't excuse the times in Rebirth when we've seen Jason stray into heroic path.

Batman and his allies actions aren't the benchmark it just means that we have members of the family being well doing bad/ villainous things. Things are rotten in Gotham without Dick Grayson

Also this is an alternate universe so we don't know how Cass and Jason operate

I'm hyped. There is so much good stuff.
    - Jason, Slade, Rose and Cass - so much potential for awesome dynamics
    - amazing covers - I can't decide which one is my favorite
    - written by Tom Taylor
    - Karl Mostert and Rex Lokus (I loved their DCeased variant for Red Hood: Outlaw #39)
    - only three issues - short but hopefully intense
    - the story is set at the same time as the first run - which is good. Because I haven't finished DCeased yet.

I'm surprised that there haven't been any big rumors before the announcement. Because there have been hints on Twitter:

Back in July when Tom Taylor posted all the DCeased variants, he mentioned that the DCeased variant cover by Mostert had inspired him to write somehing.

And in October Mostert also hinted at something.

Even more since Karl Mostert twittered on 25th September: "Just received one of the best emails of my career. Damn, I'm excited."
And the comment section looks like this:

I don't know who Ben Abernathy is. His twitter account says "Director of Talent Relations at DC Entertainment". And I can remember that his twitter header was the RH:O #39 variant for quite some time. So I have at least some hope left, that we'll see Jason and Co. in Taylor's zombie-universe.

I don't consider anyone in the batfamily a "hero". They are all vigilantes in my book. That's it (except maybe Jason who I do, in addition, consider an anti-hero). I also don't consider Slade a "villain" but if the comic wants to use the terms anti-hero and villain than I'm okay with it. I trust Tom Taylor to write a story that Jason, Slade, Rose and Cass fans will enjoy.

I just want to see Bane backbreak a few of the undead, even if it's futile.

Every DC hero is technically a vigilante though.

    Hero, anti-hero, vigilante, anti-villain, villain...

See, this is why the D&D alignment system is the best .

Based on the D&D alignment systhem Jason and Slade would be at the complete opposite of the spectrum. Jason is (in his current version) probably chaotic good (with tendencies to chaotic neutral) and Slade is Lawful Evil (or maybe Lawful Neutral in his nicer depictions).
