In the "Fearless" mini there was this conversation between Storm and the still-powerless Guthrie sister where she remarked that when Sam and Paige last visited at home, while going out of their way to be nice, they can't seem to help but look at her differently in a way she found unsettling, all because her mutant ability never came back after all that time.

And her hero name is now used by a non-mutant aero-kinetic Chinese architect.

Ok we’re clearly getting nowhere with this. Dude, you keep missing the fact that all the X-teams had non-mutant members— being a mutant was never required for being an X-Man. It’d be racist and hypocritical if it were.

But you’re fooling yourself if you think this is a permanent status quo. Considering everyone is taking issue with it in-universe, and it’s NOT portrayed as some wonderful thing, this is clearly leading to something. They’re not going to remain isolationist forever. X-Men is about equality, not segregation.

We just had an entire thing about this not being segregation. Hickman even laughed at the idea that this could even remotely be called “segregation.” Please reconsider that your read on Krakoa isn’t considering that the MUTANTS are oppressed and that you aren’t being oppressed by not being denied in a safe place when you’re benefitting from the same system that causes the need for said safe space.

Also I’m screaming, you think it’s racist for having “mutant as a prerequisite” is racist?? Are Black Panthers racist for being a Black-only organization?

That’s something that isn’t happening. Notice how Brian Braddock didn’t complain about not being able to go through? Yeah until we see otherwise, that’s how all the mutant allies are responding to the situation. Anything else is just making things up to serve your own narrative.

I think we will see a Secret War fought by Krakoa and factions they come into conflict with. Krakoa will look to expand to underwater territories that may cause friction with Atlantis. Requests of help from space begins the X-men expanding into space. A war between mutants and mystical embued foes begins a series of evolutional tests.

They have no idea what happens in the movies, which is why we got that baffling retcon to Carol’s origin because all the movie advertizing suggested she was part Kree. But then it turned out the movie played the origin fairly straight.

Anyways, there's definitely something this is building up to. As we saw, Reed Richards wasn't exactly thrilled with the idea of giving mutant criminals like Sabretooth amnesty just for being mutants, and that's hardly the lone incident. That's what I meant to discuss. As I said, this is an interesting read, but I highly, highly doubt this is the permanent status quo regardless of how Hickman's run ends.
