I guess this was be the closest for Monet. She doesn't really get a lot of focus on building friendships. Siryn was the one that got the most development before it was ignored the last half of X-Factor.

I know of their friendship, did not list it because Spiderman is not an xmen character. Spiderman was closer to Nate Grey in the 90s.

cyclops and Emma had a personal friendship where they could test it eachother and push each other to be the best of themselves.

During bendis run, they remained very friendly after their breakup.

yes, the real ones, the best ones, yes, absolutely, yes if there were to be a test to check if two friends in the X-Men are truly 'best friends' it'd be too private for panels but you blush or giggle or feel like that.

Those pivotal slow mornings when individual X-Men wake up alone with a certain morning after comforting warmth of no questions no strings no evidence and yet, so when you next see Kurt and Logan or Kitty and Illyana or Kitty and Rachel or Storm and ____ or Logan and ____ well, you just know...and it's good.

Of course, the in panel morning afters are a different thing and rarely so resoundingly 'good'.

Yet in Amazing Nightcrawler the Meagan/Kurt scene in Age of X-Man could be and should be read I think as friends with benefits in a world where that isn't allowed to be off panel...which is so against the very nature of Kurt and Meagan and all my 'best' X-Men favs, and was thrilling for me because it was so very in keeping with the police state horror of that dystopian place...an assault and inversion of what's 'best'.

I won't say "best friends" but the friendship that is the most interesting for me is Xavier and Magneto.

I really liked Kitty and Illyana too, during the 80's.

X-23 eventually ditches her "Best Friends" after a while. The only one who's remained pretty consistently important is Megan. She's also been through Kiden Nixon, Hellion, Jubilee, Mercury, and Dust.

Anole and Rockslide (@#$% Glob)

Hellion and Tag, then with Santo after Tag blow'ed up and before Santo partnered up with Victor. Then Hellion with X-23 until Liu messed THAT up. Does he even HAVE a best friend anymore? Poor Hellion.

I don't remember them ever being particularly close. In the Outback era, Betsy didn't even seem to like her very much, preferring when Carol's personality would take over.

yeah I dont consider Rogue and Psylocke to be all that close. If anything Dazzler is Betsy's best friend

I wouldnt say they are a threesome as Magik and Rachel have never really had much to do with each other. Kitty's been BFF with them (and Doug) at various points in her life but she keeps those relationships seperate

I'd love for Rachel and Ilyanna to seize the initiative and hang out, without Kitty, and form their own friendship. (Or Doug, with either of them, for that matter.)

Angel and Iceman. The two were practically a couple, for years (although I got more of a indulgent big brother / tagalong wide-eyed little brother vibe from them, that, in light of recent developments, could be read as Warren pointedly ignoring a painfully obvious man-crush...), bouncing between the Champions and Defenders, in their stints between O5 X-Men, and X-Factor.
