Default Incoming! -- The first wide crossover event in the X-Men's new status quo

Just dropping this in to get an opinion.

Hickman's X-Men, due to the heavy worldbuilding, has been relatively self-contained but this will be the first big crossover they'll be in after the House/Powers status quo. They'll evidently play a part, given the "deadly alliance" teased in the trailer between X, Magneto and Apocalypse.

    Thoughts?

    It looks meh.
I only continue to read X-books because I don't spend any money on it.

As a "Mortal Kombat" fan that wording always rings warning bells. Was the dead guy killed by Krakoans? An X-Force op blown public?

Not sold on the event title though? Marvel's "Incoming"?

It's basically a Point One book. Sets up things for 2020.

When the rest of the Marvel U finally realizes that mutants have become the boot and they the ants?

"The most earth-shattering Marvel Universe event of 2020."

It's like they're not even pretending to hide their event addiction. Still, I'm interested if only to see how the X-Men status quo affects the wide 'verse.

Do we even know if the X-Men will play an active role in this and it won't be another Red Skies Crossover situation for them like World War Hulk, Fear Itself and War of the Realms?

Considering they're being set up as one of the major stars of the event, and their standing in Marvel now compared to then, it's safe to say they'll likely be having a role. The ominous "Deadly Alliance" sounds like it spells trouble for the other heroes.

The focus of the book is going to be Ewing's GotG and the Eternity Wars event he's been hyping up for 45 years.

I know the X-Men aren't the core focus overall, but I thought it was notable as the first event taking place in the post-HoX/PoX status quo and seeing how that impacts the wide Marvel Universe.

Also, it looks like the murder victim will connect to the X-Universe, as it's evidently...

An interesting possibility given the odd relationship everyone has with the X-Men.
