Inferior Five length change?

I'm disappointed, but not terribly surprised.

This was a title directly written AT ME (Giffen! Inferior 5! Brother Power! Peacemaker! Invasion! Tasmanian Devil!), but its just spent the first few issues wandering around in bleak Giffen-esque hellscapes.

I'm just saying, maybe it should have been a 6 issue series from the start.

Does the series have anything to do with the original I5? Or superheroes? Everything I read makes it sound like a 'Stranger Things' knock off.

I was confused when I saw the solicits for this series. I was looking for references to the kids mentioned becoming superheroes - of course no such thing is mentioned. They shouldn't have called it Inferior Five if it has no connection to the silver age parody team.
