Default Has any X-men moment given you trauma or nightmares?

    I have a few.

I never had any X-men trauma or nightmare. I mean, I was even excited (not sexually of course) when I read "God Loves Man Kills". Because it was the best X-Men I ever read since the Dark Phoenix Saga. Maybe I am a sociopath.

The Dark Phoenix movie was a traumatic experience.

No. I can enjoy good-feeling moments but I'm not affected by the negative ones.

Nah. Plenty of story with problematic (to put it politely) elements made me wonder wtf was an editor's actual job, but no actual trauma/nightmares.

I'm scared of four things: needles, bees, needles filled with bees, bees carrying needles.

So the process of using a living virus that encodes on the wearer's DNA, causes extreme pain as part of the process, can never be removed, and has a 33% chance of causing an infection that will kill you, done via tattoo terrified the **** out of me.

Like that whole thing was a level of 40K Grim Dark that borders between insanity and just plain psychotic.

    Fortunately no.
The drama some stories cause on the fans did though.

Rachel Summers being brainwashed and tortured 4 storylines in a row. In addition to Daddy/Mommy abandonment, is it bad enough all her living grey relatives were massacred in matter of minutes in front of her and she could barely do anything about it?

Uncanny X-Men 303 came out about a month after my mom died. I felt like it was run over by a truck after getting about half way through it.
