Your starting lineup for the Brotherhood in the MCU?

Sister thread to the X-Men one, let's say you were given the power to choose the antagonist team for the first X-Men MCU film. Who would you pick?

Like the X-Men thread, Magneto is a given. Unless you really don't want him, I guess. But I can't really see a Brotherhood led by anyone other than him in an MCU X-Men film.

No Magneto and as much as it hurts me...no Mystique either...Mystique would come around later, but for now she isn't in the picture. I would let Magneto come in later with Acolytes.

This is basically Mystique's Brotherhood team from the comics, and it could set up for a storyline where Rogue saps someone's powers permanently (doesn't have to be Captain Marvel) but someone with flight and super strength.

Add Destiny and this is perfect.

I would make sure Sabretooth is NOT there . He never had affiliation with the Brotherhood until writers started paying homage to the crappy films & that's one big thing that's lead to the complete destruction of his character. Along with being anywhere near Mystique. So strike two.

We saw how well he did with Hickman's Brotherhood & Mystique, and that was the last straw that contributed to me finally abandoning him as a fav, or even liked, liked character.

Same for me with Sabretooth. Except that terrible idea from every adaptation is now plagued the comics.

I would rebrand the Brotherhood as the Mutant Liberation Front. It's the better name. But I wouldn't have the X-Men fight 'evil mutants' in the first film anyways. Focus on the X-Men themselves, they can fight Krakoa(ok sure, it's kinda an evil mutant, but at least it's just one and it's history and motivations are easily established ala Giant Sized) or evil humans first, but we don't need to introduce an entire new squad of antagonists when they should be focusing on the X-Men characters first and foremost.

The Mystique/Destiny brotherhood would be fire. Destiny could be a nice opposite to Prof X.
