It was...okay? Tini is giving a lot of tidbits while also giving nothing at all lol. It's a lot of world building and I feel like this is still very much setup for future stuff. I don't mind it but I do hope by issue three we start getting some real movement on the now.

Gambit is awful. Apocalypse should beat him down.

Howard's dialogue makes me dislike nearly anyone here. Really doesn't go well with me. Art is good and so are the concepts, but making me angry at poor Gambit is a sin. He's nearly insufferable.

5/10. Better luck next issue.

Yeah someone else said it but everyone is just so one note. It's like Howard has picked up bad habits from runs of the past few years. Betsy is the leader so everyone defers to her and needs her to hold their hands. Gambit is married to Rogue so his entirely presence revolves around her. Jubilee is a mom so all she cares about is Shogo. These three could have great chemistry and bring out the best in each other but instead each takes a turn being annoying. Too bad because the plot don't sound too bad I hope Apocalypse conquers Britain.

I also think I finally agree that this book needs a different artist. To's art is beautiful and clean but it kind of fails some of the scenes. The part with the selkies and Clan Akkaba should've felt more tense than they did, imo. Almost horror-esque but it was just so...pretty? lol. Hmm.

Lmao. What was up was up with Shogo becoming a pokemon. Saying his name all the damn time.... I guess he evolved at the end of the issue.

If shogo is jubliee pokemon dose that me gabby is Laura's pokemon ? What dose a gabby evolve in to and can it beat a shogo ?

My problem in this issue is that it jumps around too much. We get a dream sequence with Jubes and then later with Betsy.
we still don't know why tehy were on lighthouse.

The exposition dump during the two-page action scene. Horrible choice.

That out of the way, I am too unsure of just what is going on to really comment on the story. A lot of stuff being crammed in to set a tone I guess of magic and fantasy but it is just too much and the story already has too many unexplained mysteries to be adding more.
