    Default New international poster.

This one is considerably more 'busy' and I think intentionally is meant to evoke one of the ANH posters, specifically "Style C"-the one where Luke, Han and Leia are firing blasters in different directions-although Vader's lightsaber and a Y-wing are way inaccurate-which I felt matched the tone of the movie much better than of course the classic but slightly corny bare-chested Luke lifting his lightsaber with Leia by his side image. "The Last Jedi" poster also heavily suggested ROTJ.

Given all the adjustments they've made in the telling of this story, it's amazing to me that they haven't adjusted the helmet. It's not menacing, it's not dramatic, and it makes for a lousy poster as a prominent image. But yeah, this certainly does have an OT feel to it in its design.

A couple of things stand out to me. What's the implications of the cracks in the helmet? Where's Mark Hamill?

He smashed it in the last movie which is why he went helmet-less for TLJ. For TROS he puts it back together believed in a manner similar to Kintsugi.

Both Carrie and Mark are the main focus of the new IMAX poster.

The second poster is pretty much a homage to the other well-known Star Wars poster, although Rey and co. aren't as exagerrated as Luke and Leia were on that.

Curiously, the second poster uses the First Order Destroyers instead of the OT-style ones we've seen everywhere else.
