    AC

Spider-Verse bored the hell out of me. It dragged on to long and like fan of mystery already said, was a tedious slog.

Absolute Carnage. Spider-Verse is very overrated.

I'm torn. Absolute Carnage was better written and more to the point, had great character moments, but I didn't really feel like it was an event.

Spider-Verse I really enjoyed the hell out of. It was probably my favorite Dan Slott story and I felt the stakes were higher.

Spider-verse as I am not that much of a fan of the Venom mess that Marvel has going on. Plus it didn’t crossover with the other titles like the previous Carnage tales did. Also all that and no reference to Dr. Doom’s Venom bombs ? Talk about lazy.

Besides when it comes to Spider-verse it’s like a fan’s dream come true given the amount of Spider-man history comes together for an enjoyable tale.

I'll give the nod to Absolute Carnage as it was really fun. Also, the tie-ins were mostly great which is rare for a big cross-over.

    I love Spider-Verse, but a lot of the tie-ins weren't particularly good.

Verse is certainly the more important, but AC was just a pleasure to read from start to finish.
"Has Sariel summoned you here, Azrael? Have you come to witness the miracle of your brethren arriving on Earth?"

"I WILL MIX THE ASHES OF YOUR BONES WITH SALT AND USE THEM TO ENSURE THE EARTH THE TEMPLARS TILLED NEVER BEARS FRUIT AGAIN!"

"*sigh* I hoped it was for the miracle."

Dan Watters' Azrael was incredible, a constant delight and perhaps too good for this world (but not the Forth). For the love of St. Dumas, DC, give us more!!!

Absolute Carnage hands-down for me. Venom is my fave book at the moment; the story Cates is crafting is truly amazing and AC was a very good payoff/move-forward on everything that’s been setup in Venom for the past 2 years.

Absolute Carnage was better-written. Spider-Verse was more fun. Neither story was all that good.
