I think his peak was in Siege. After that, I don't think he either managed to capture that same magic or improve from where he was. He's a great artist, but I think we already saw the best he could provide.

Apocalypse feels far more likely than Sinister. I hope we see something unexpected like a Gorgon and Bishop team-up, since they're the two Captains with less common history and Hickman could do something really unique and lasting.

I disagree. Hickman is actually gonna try and address the one moment in time fans still care about regarding Jean, Scott, and Emma. If we can finally get some resolution to that, the X-Men boards will be better for it (though that's probably wishful thinking on my part).
