Default Suggestion: CBR Columns and Blogs should be used

We had a side discussion going about Brian Cronin's poll for 50 top favorite Marvel characters. A number of us in the discussion were not even aware that the poll had taken place. Brian has had a long time presence here on the site but it gets tedious to find his columns these days since they rapidly get pushed off the main page. The old main page design had a separate section for regular columns, making them easy to find and easy to see when a new column came out. I am aware that some of those regular columns are gone, like Shelf Porn or the Buy Pile. But under the Community section and the top there is an option for blogs and columns. Can the regular features be moved there somehow? or at least a post created when a new column comes out? Brian has a lot of regular features that could be linked there and many find the front page useless for keeping track of them.

I think that link is a hold over to when the site used to actually be a true part of the site before it was sold, but that's not really the case anymore and the mods don't have anything to really do with the CBR site so any suggestions here are useless. You could try asking for more integration from whoever actually runs CBR these days but honestly I'd just be glad we have a forum at all.

I suppose that is true. It would be a sad day if Valnet or whoever the owner is decided that the message boards isn't of any value to them. I enjoy them far more than using twitter (esp with its character limit per tweet) or Facebook because it's easier to track topics, create subgroups of boards for specific fan bases, etc.

It's a shame though because I guess I could go to Brian Cronin's Facebook or something. But his columns were always one of the better features of the old front page. I guess I miss those days when you had columns from Warren Ellis, Gail Simone , etc. That seems so long ago now.

You can follow Cronin's CBR articles via this URL.

    https://www.cbr.com/author/brian_cronin/

It shows them all in posting order.

Thanks. this is what CBR should do for all regular columnists, like the other front page had. Too many articles roll off the front page in a short amount of time.
