"A happy ending? So unlikely. We're not having a moment here.
Wrong city, wrong people, all huddling in fear.
No one escapes the slaughterhouse, and that's just where you're at.
(You could've asked Rebecca but then Adam stomped her flat.)
You think you're special cuz you're scrappy? You're deluded, time to go.
Lucy's living on the moon but you're another dead psycho."
Izzy/Smasher knows Bobby. He’s been his usual self to her before during their time in the Avengers and in the course of her early relationship with Sam.
Well I didnt read all that but his behavior is really inch resting. I dont want to fall for bait but....
Also they totally forgot about the Kings egg and its gonna bite them aint it?
The reunion scene made me really wonder why Chamber and Mondo are in this book. I mean Hickman has plan for them of course but it was first time I wonder if someone like Magma or say Warpath might have been a better choice. I think a scene like that would be better with everyone having a connection. A small introduction or acknowledge their presence in the room to Chamber and Mondo I think might have made some sense as well but I guess you can't fit in everything in a book.
I can't stress enough how much I love Hickman's Sunspot. God, this book is just so thoroughly great. I'm happy they brought Xandra back. Hope she gets to meet her dad eventually. This Beto's crush on Deathbird is so relatable it hurts. I guess all of us want to have our asses kicked by hot women in the current year.
10/10
This issue was tremendous.
Tension between Izzy & Roberto is both warranted and understandable. Since she and Sam became involved there's been tension. Adding into that, the fact that Berto enlisted Sam to commute from Chandilar to Earth on the regular to be on his USAvengers team, leaving Izzy with her Imperial guard & baby responsibilities and NOW he up and decides "I want my best buddy back, so I'll just go get him"
Self centered.
Also on brand.
Ha ha ha ha.
And I loooooooooove Roberto.
I dont buy the Deathbird crush, he's acting out because his reunion with Sam didnt go according to plan.
Pretty fun! Loved seeing Xandra adressed so soon.
Bobby was great, but I do think maybe a little less mature than his most recent appearances.
I have no idea why Magik didn't just teleport everyone out of the prison.
Can't say I'm excited for Brisson's issues. The cast is just so uninspired.
There's way too many anti-monogamy hippies on this forum.
