It's actually "A.N.C.", for "American News Co.", which was the dominant magazine distributor in the US at the time. ANC's collapse in 1957 caused great upheaval in the comic book world.

Do graphic novels (that aren't collections) count? Even if they don't, I'm going to make this my entry, because it's important to remember that not all tattoos are voluntary.

Graphic novels have always counted in the past. They should still be now.

should be modified to make it explicit that this includes graphic novels as well as trades.
