And it looks super boring in the cartoons.

Oh, I didn't intend to save or post any of the drafts. It was mostly just for my own benefit. I've been tinkering around with new costume ideas for Jessica for some time now.

Count me in as another one who liked Black Widow's 90s costume. Same for Quicksilver. That was the coolest outfit I saw him in until the second Uncanny Avengers volume post-AXIS by Rick Remender. Shame he didn't keep that one once ANAD Marvel hit.

I’m sorry, but nothing here looked even remotely palatable to me.

I blame the colorist(s) and maybe the inker(s).

Could that be a scan of a foil cover??? Or did they increase the saturation somehow when they scanned it?

That is what it looks like, now that you bring it up.

    Here's a non-glossy version of the cover:

That is so utterly 90's that it looks like a caricature. It's hard to believe it's real and not a fake parody of the 90's.

    Reminds me of this:

The Crossing era costumes were all fine, except Thor.

Although I can see how it was a Dr Manhattan-esque change by Byrne, I loved the pale version of Vision that we got during his West Coast Avengers run...

I may be in the minority here, but I actually liked Wanda's costume. My only issue is that they colored her hair in a way that you really can't tell the difference between her and Jean Grey. I almost wish that they gave Wanda a mole or birthmark to distinguish her.

One of the favorites is 1990s Sersi. This costume suits her better than the green bathsuit!

The Bob Harras and Steve Epting era always felt like the Avengers we’re trying to be the X-Men. Complete with the style of costumes and the leather bombers with the A insignia. In the light, the red Sersi outfit just feels like a recolored Rogue from the Jim Lee era. That feels a bit to plebeian for an ancient bin vivant hedonist like Sersi. But I suppose she was trying to fit in at the time.

I’d have loved if Sersi kept rocking her Morganverse outfit.
