Jean is even smiling. There is zero indication that she's unhappy.

The Jean and Emma dialogue is on point. The right amount of tension/shade/respect, from both parties. Good job, Hickman! Hope that carries through in the Giant-Size issue.

Honestly, it reads to me like Jean and Emma's classic relationship but friendlier than usual.

I'm more comfortable with the idea of Jean and Scott being in an open relationship - even if I still don't entirely agree with it. It also jibes with what Scott said last issue. "Yes. I love a single someone."

Yeah I don't get how people are seeing any kind of bad vibe between the two. They're messing around with each other and laughing.

It’s further establishing the type of relationship they have with each other. Rather than being rudely dismissive or overly friendly, it shows they can still be snippy with each other but get along.
