Interesting setup. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out.
The spider is always on the hunt.
I like how they reference the genetic memories of Knull. I wonder if any of that will play a role in the story.
"I should describe my known nature as tripartite, my interests consisting of three parallel and disassociated groups; a) love of the strange and the fantastic, b) love of abstract truth and scientific logic, c) love of the ancient and the permanent. Sundry combinations of these strains will probably account for my...odd tastes, and eccentricities."
Not bad, really. But still, considering Marvel 2099's world, I would like to see the original Venom 2099 too, who was originally Miguel's brother.
It's fine. It's not spectacular but it is fine.
The real issue of the story itself is that the host and symbiote are a little pedestrian for a superhero origin. It might've gotten around this if the comic was a little longer but it's still an alright read. Would I be willing to put it in my top ten of comics? No. Really outside of an impulse buy or if your just curious and reading Venom anyways I guess, but if you miss it, I wouldn't say your missing much.
B-, could've stood to be a bit longer though it is competent.
