    Smile 2000AD and Judge Dredd

Hi all and thanks for reading my post. Im new and this is mty 1st post.

I'm private collector of 2000AD and Judge Dredd vintage comics. I've been collecting 2000AD since #1 and have what I think is an excellent collection of high grade issues. I'm looking to make contacts around the world who are also in to 2000AD 'The Galaxy's Greatest Comic'. Apart from collecting I sell back issues to folk all over the world, run a private face book group that you can get to via www.judgedredd.net and help folk find rare 2000AD back issues, signed work and artwork etc. It's all about the Thrill Power and having it in the top original format quality. I've got about 1000 positive feedback in the last year and I'm working on an idea for a start-up project.

I'm keen to know who are people's favorite 2000AD characters and why?

Which are folk looking forward to the most; the Judge Dredd live action TV series or the Rogue Trooper film?

What was the 1st issue of 2000AD you bought?

And most importantly to chat with 2000AD fans and active collectors all over the world.

Reply and message me. Just say hi!

    I'm new.

    J

It has been many, many years since I read or collected any 2000ad but I did start collecting very early in its run, not from issue 1 but not too long after, far too many excellent stories to pick favourites, but in no particular order (and forgive me if get any wrong) Sam Slade Robo Hunter , Slaine, ABC Warriors, Bad Company, DR and Quinch, Strontium Dog, Torquemada, Zenith, probably many more, which I can’t remember, strangely enough I was never a massive fan of Judge Dredd, and I was an ever bigger fan of Warrior Magazine, which I always thought of as a grown up version of 2000ad

Thanks for the reply! First one. Go to say those are some real classic characters you mentioned. I was really fortunate to meet Peter Milligan the other day and he signed some bad company issues for me. Really lovely chap

I first checked out 2000AD in 2012 with the Day of Chaos mega-epic and have been on/off ever since. Mostly cos its easy to fall behind on a weekly title :P

Not a collector, but i have a digital subscricption and various trades.

I have been getting the Ultimate Collection HCs from Hachette, though.

Hi Flux, Day of Chaos was pretty cool. I get where people are at with digital but there's just something special about having books in their original format. Going to a signing, getting that rare edition. Actually having the physical book and all the memories that go with it. Ive got quite a few digital issues of things but I'd be lost without the originals and teh memories that go with them.

What do you think of the latest 2000AD stories?

Here are a few more pictures for folk. These are from a sigining with Bryan Talbot.

Here's a lovely prog 5. 1st cover appearance of Judge Dredd in the weekly 2000AD. Hope you like it.
