Default What was your favorite label from DC Comics?

There are many labels in DC Comics, there´s (or there was) Vertigo, Helix, Elseworlds, America´s Best Comics, Homage, Piranha Press, Paradox Press, Minx, Tangent Comics, and others.

What is your favorite label from all these? What is your favorite story from all these labels?

Elseworlds. Though I'm not sure that qualifies as a label in and of itself. My current favorite is Black Label just because they are doing the kinds of series I want to read. Out of continuity stuff with a more mature bent.

Elseworlds. I've always liked the freedom that AU's have to play around with a character and their mythology without having to worry about leaving everything as they found it for the next writer, or how whatever happens in their story impact the wider DCU.

Vertigo for sure. I liked a lot of stuff from several of the labels, but Vertigo was where it was at for me.

From that list, I have fond memories of Elseworlds, Helix, and Tangent. But America's Best Comics wins. Such a variety of interesting characters in creative stories, mostly written by Alan Moore. Really felt like I got my money's worth. The titles I followed were Tom Strong, Top 10, and Tomorrow Stories, plus all the related spin offs and one shots.

If I could win the argument that the 80 Page Giants were a different label--they had a different price point and a distinctive trade dress--then I'd submit those.
