Lightbulb The X-MEN Anniversary *Membership Game*

To celebrate that the X-men are turning 60 this year, I thought we could try a new type of game to create X-teams, this time to honor the franchise's history and get some interesting new combinations.
    The rules are pretty simple:
    1) Each user can create up to 8 different X-teams
    2) Each team needs to have 7 members
    3) Each team member needs to have joined a heroic 616 X-team in a different decade than the others. This way every team you create will have one member from the 60s, one for the 70s and so on
    4) For the member from the current decade, you can either pick from one the few available options or choose an existing character that hasn't joined a heroic X-team in the main universe yet.
    5) Name every team (i.e. UXM, X-force etc) and make sure they each have a different mission.

To help out, I created this list as a reference for when each character originally joined (which has nothing to do with when they were created). There are probably some mistakes (I used Wikipedia for the most part), but this is just a general guide.

Rasputin's storyline could be very interesting, and the other plots are always fun. What's this about Hellion and adoptive parenthood? I don't know what this is about, but I'm all for it.

    X-Men Red

Arakko based team is led by the Voice of Sol Storm. They are defining what Arakko and Sol are on the planetary and galactic stages, while defending Sol and her interests wherever that may take them. Premiere team, pushing the boundaries of superheroics. Something like The Authority. High action, incredible feats, alien cultures, ancient mysteries, high concept sci-fi, maybe even some romance. The Great Ring and many other Arakki feature as well as Nova, Dr. Craig, etc from the current series.

Jean- spending time with her bestie and addicted to the high stakes
Storm- trying to balance her political role with her personal interests
Sunspot- enjoying the new business opportunities on Arakko and beyond
Monet- stepping into the big leagues, and a potential love interest blooming with Roberto
Namor- trying to find his place in an everchanging political landscape, hedging Atlantis's interests on the stars
Apocalypse- Arakko's past has come back to an uncertain present, but curious to see how things unfold
Manifold- intergalactic travel is his cup of tea, and Arakko's past and his mentor Gateway have more in common than he thought

    X-Men Blue

Earth based team is lead by Cyclops. Operating out of the NYC Treehouse, this X-Men team is tackling the classic superhero jobs, defending humans and mutants alike. Combining tight-knit veterans, some newer recruits who could use some molding, and the powerful and out of touch Exodus, Scott has his hands full balancing the needs of this team. Classic X-Men, with character focus, fun exchanges, and explosive action.

Cyclops- back to basics approach to leadership, enjoying the mission, foiled by Exodus
Nightcrawler- taking a backseat from the QC and the Spark stuff, just getting back into the groove of things
Rogue-enjoying her teammates and husband, sees herself in Nature Girl's situation
Gambit-suave and smooth, back with the angels, takes special interest in Cipher
Cipher- after being overlooked for so long, enjoying rubbing shoulders with the main team
Nature Girl- Cyclops recruits her in particular, wanting to give her an opportunity to save the world in a more palatable way
Exodus- passionate to make change, but bristling with tension, will he and Scott come to terms or come to blows?

    X-Men Gold

Finance group, officially merging the interests of X-Corporation and the Hellfire Trading Group into X-Corps, this team will be marketing mutantkind's best and brightest to the world, and beyond. Headed by Warren, Emma, and Shiro, they ensure Krakoa's financial interests are beyond reproach. Additional support from Prodigy.

Angel- "White King" trying to moderate the less savory aspects of capitalism, and make up for his own dark past
Sunfire- his family ties to the underground economy make him the new "Black King", and his fiery temper makes for exciting board meetings
Whiz Kid- the cutting edge of technology is his to command, as is SWORD, making him one of the most powerful young men in the world. Now, can he play nicely with others?
Emma Frost- "White Queen" is back to her actual interest: MAKING MONEY. But she still has to pretend to care about others, so she elevates her old ward Angel to:
Angel Salvadore- "Black Queen". Her old teacher Ms. Frost gave her an opportunity she can't refuse. As a teenaged mother, she brings her world view to the table. Is the world ready for what she has to say?
Trinary- recruited by Warren to help ameliorate the excesses of capitalism, Trinary also brings voice to the disaffected, and helps where she can(and she can help A LOT).
Tempo- recruited by Emma, because making money is all about timing, after all!

    X-Force

Black ops team lead by Captain Commander Bishop, with Logan and Sage by his side. After the clusterf that was Beast's X-Force, XSE trained Bishop is going to be doing things by the book! At least his book. Still plenty of red in the ledgers, but hopefully a little less messy. Additional support by Domino and Cable, but Bishop was in their timeslot.

    Mimic- deep infiltration
    Wolverine- the best there is
    Forge- the Maker
    Bishop- Captain Commander
    Sage- intel
    Deadpool- merc
Khora- power up and Arakki specialist

    Excalibur

Otherworld and mutant magic are the focus of this book. Led by Betsy(with Rachel at her side), this book explores the other realms and the mysteries inbetween. Brian, Meggan, and Rachel are here too, but Betsy took their timeslot. Selene can be the big baddie for the first arc, plotting her revenge or whatever.

Iceman- pushing his powers to the ultimate extent in ways he never imagined, and that dream guy is kinda cute...
Shaman- gets pulled into things unexpectedly, has a great adventure and more than earns his keep both as mage and doctor
Betsy Braddock Captain Britain- trying to keep Otherworld and Britain and Krakoa all happy while also embarking on a new relationship with Rachel is putting her to the test, for sure
Kylun- cool character design, straight up
    Pixie- British and pseudo-magical, a shoe-in
Spiral- excellent design and magical, has to
Somnus- dreams are basically magic, right? Plus he can date Iceman!

    Generation X

School is back in session! The Sidri have been relocated, and the Mansion has been renovated for the new students. Krakoa is still only a gate away, but Charles is recommitted to training the next generations of mutants, and assembles this faculty to assist him. Tons of cameos by the younger generations, but the book focuses on the faculty. Harry Potter meets a medical procedural meets The Office.

Xavier- after an only so-so outing as a founding father of a nation, he tries to return to more trodden ground with full awareness of his foibles, and plenty of people around him to help hold him accountable.
Banshee- I never liked this Ghost Rider thing, but Sean really shinned back in the original Gen X books. Let's get him back in the game as a teacher for the next generation.
Moonstar- maybe not the most exciting role, but at least she'll get to hold Charles accountable and watch over the kids
Cecelia Reyes- keeps the kids healthy, encourages them to explore fields beyond their mutant abilities, and gets to kick butt if anyone tries to mess with the school
Danger- Danger has volunteered her services this time, but she doesn't stop rubbing Chuck's face in it whenever she gets a chance
Triage- anything Cece can't handle, he can, plus he brings the youth perspective to the faculty
Amelia Voght- as if Danger and Moonstar weren't enough, Charles also has his old paramour to deal with. She's just here to make sure Charles doesn't pull anything again. Unless, no, she couldn't, maybe...
Let the flames destroy all but that which is pure and true!

I’d like to see Hellion and Jubilee date, with the added drama of her partner becoming a surrogate parent to Shogo. Also - creepy cool picturing no hands hellion holding a baby having Dad-panic.
