Marauders #7 - Summary/Review [Spoilers]

- Callisto is the White Knight on a "trial basis" as said by herself. Not much added to the preview scene except for hear shredding a bit of her suit and giving Jumbo a knife as gift.
- She proceeds to greet the Marauders at Island M. Christian and Bobby kiss, Callisto and Storm greet each other through a knife throw and a hug and Pyro is sent to take the boat to Krakoa, after Bishop hears Kitty isn't back. He goes back to Madripoor.
- The Verendi brats show the footage of this encounter to the Russian ambassador, who's working closely with them and says the power dampening tech is getting better and more compact. Kilgore sends Enduque to take on Bishop.
- Lucas fights some soldiers and finds out Enduque somehow knows about the "kill no human" law. He knocks the kid unconscious and infiltrates a Verendi boat that will receive some secret delivery.
- Callisto meets with Masque who, alongside the other Morlocks, lives in Arizona now. She basically tells him to stop being a basic bitch and take Emma's hand.
- The Quiet Council is in a deadlock regarding something they're currently voting. Kitty being missing and Sinister abstaining keep the voting at a draw and Shaw is absolutely smug about it.
- Lockheed is found by fisherman close to Madripoor, apparently dead.

This was another solid issue, which we're mostly used to, by now. Will elaborate further later, but that's pretty much the gist of it. 8.5/10. It's all pretty balanced, action, plot and character moments. The colors could use some work, though.

That was a good issue. This title is starting to grow on me.

The Emma-Callisto dialogue was awesome. I'm really enjoying the personality Duggan gives Emma. The character deserves the spotlight after suffering so much these past few years.

Less Pyro-humour? Sounds great to me.

I liked it, but...

I've always been meh on Callisto, and here doesn't change. I did like that we checked in with the Morlocks being on Krakoa and their thoughts (summed up with Masque), and Masque's criticism of them using the name Marauders.

I really hate the Hellfire brats.

Please Marauders, take Pyro at least a little bit seriously. I like comic relief Pyro but I also want depth to his character.

Also, I hate Jumbo Carnation.

that was honestly such a sweet and heartfealt moment of solidarity, of course calisto probably mourned the one non pretty mutant that had a shred of normal sucess getting cut down, realy realy sweet and i love her prespective witout the narrative paintin her and the morlocks as villains.

Apparently so. I was like, ok they kissed. It was in a panel. But others made it seem like this was some huge insane spoiler. I have more feelings over Lockheed in this issue than I do about those men kissing. To be clear, i'm not being dismissive of others feelings about that kiss, it just didn't seem to be the spoiler hype that I was expecting. I'd be more excited if Bobby got himself into a Pyro sandwich than with Christian.

i was really hoping that Shinobi was the hookup. at best, he's bi. but i just remember him not being so uptight prior to his death. that was part of why Sebastian didn't care for him. he was a hedonistic brat. death really changed the guy. strangely, i find Bobby less interesting as an out gay person. i think that i just liked the idea of him being some class clown who was hiding that aspect of himself poorly. i would much rather see Christian and Shinobi get to know one another. they both have yet to be fleshed out, as characters.
