Looks like Doctor Strange is losing his Sorcerer Supreme title, and the new holder will be elected democratically.

Idk, I see this as a new school being overseen by Dr. Strange. Guiding and teaching upcoming mages. It could have some other main MU magic wielders...Scarlet Witch, Wong, Nico Minoru, Clea, Wiccan, Brother Voodoo....Loki??
Could be interesting to see.

Be sure to check out the Invisible Woman appreciation thread!
Val's always been close to Doctor Doom and probably has nothing more to learn from her father, and a future version of her has been shown to have Doom's powers, so that wouldn't surprise me. Could easily be a completely new student cast if they're doing a Marvel Hogwarts though.

I may be old fashioned, but shouldn't Dr. Strange's latest new direction have an issue published before another direction is introduced? And weren't there concerns about Doc being both a Surgeon and Sorcerer Supreme?
My first thought was also a magic school and not a new Sorcerer Supreme. And I hope I'm right, 'cause I'm not looking forward to another new SS story that's just going to be inevitably undone because Marvel wants to stick to the status quo. A magic school concept at least feels more innovative and something that can have a more lasting impact on the larger MU.
The potential dynamics of younger and older mystical characters in an educational environment is soooo promising. It would be nice to rescue some characters from limbo (I would love to see Sylvie Lushton, Leah and Cullen Bloodstone again). Also, we could use some much needed bonding time between Wanda and Billy.

The new book is Strange Academy, from Skottie Young and Humberto Ramos, and it is indeed a Hogwarts' style magic school in the MU.
This is such a genius idea, and one seemingly just lying there waiting to happen, I'm stunned it's never occurred until now.
I like the creative team involved. Ramos' style should be a perfect fit for this. Looking forward to checking it out come March.

Wow, that Young/Ramos collab was teased a millennia ago and it's finally happening.
