So my team is The Kingdom, basically, in the David Zavimbe era of Batwing there was this Africa based team of heroes called the Kingdom who were once more or less the Justice League of the continent but they eventually disband and end up murdered, or retired, or corrupt. So my idea starts with David Zavimbe, after give up the Batwing mantle he goes to Tundi to seek wisdom from Abraham Attah aka Lord Battle, the deposed ruler of Tundi (an isolationist nation that seceded from Nigeria [i find it funny because this is basically "what if Biafra got off the ground" but i don't think DC realized that]), who after Batwing defeated him he re-took power but was inspired to take a more benevolent and passive path for his nation and it's people. From Tundi, David and Lord Battle decided to relaunch The Kingdom with a more globalized perspective, feeling that institutions like the Justice League are too American-centric and they can not always expect western nations to bear all the responsibility and adulation. My team, I envision, stive to be power players on the global stage that will work outside the norm to do what's right; basically "what if the Outsiders operated on the scale of the Justice League with an international roster".

Lord Battle [Tundi] - Benefactor/advisor/powerhouse, while Battle is technically the strongest member he rarely leaves Tundi so he fills a more Prof. X role and provides resources
David Zavimbe [Congo] - chairman/field leader, mentored by Lord Battle and is provided tech, weapons, and magic items by Dr. Veritas, Battle, and Doctor Mist respectively
Doctor Mist [N/A - formally The Kingdom of Kor] - Magic specialist
Dr. Shay Veritas [N/A] - resident super scientist
Fuerza [Corto Maltese] - scifi-based powerhouse
    Thundermind [China] - mysticism-based powerhouse
    Katana [Japan] - black-ops specialist, magic-based warrior
The Outsiders [USA] - scifi-based black-ops team, metahuman specialists
Ya'Wara [Brazil] - mysticism-based warrior, guardian of The Red and nature
Vixen [Zambesi] - magic-based powerhouse, specializing in deities and The Red
Freedom Beast [South Africa] - budding super scientist, Vixen's protege and newest guardian of The Red
    Vostok-X [Russia] - sci-fi-based gunslinger, cosmic/space specialist

i had reasonings why each joined but i'm too lazy, let's just say they are all at least skeptical of the status quo and are willing to try this alternate avenue of justice.

the closest to that would be if you go to the characters by nationality categories on the DC wikia: https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Category:...by_Nationality

Just wanted to say, love everyone's pick for the US "reps", and that post of what I like about "create your own team line-up" threads is getting to learn new character, so thanks for "learnin' me" some new international DC heroes as well. See below for the ones I'm talking about. Sorry, if I missed anyone:

^^^First off, that was hella cool.

Second off, is the first team supposed to be North America?
    You have two Souths...

Edit: Judging by the edit 18 minutes after I asked, I guess it -was- supposed to be North America. Again, hella cool post, really fun to read.

    Thanks and shiiiiiit.

Yeah this was something I kept on my phone notes for years back when I was reading a lot of DC. The concept was like an updated 90s-JLU-meets-80s-JLI. Ten teams that operate out of three orbital space stations: The Watchtower (over the Americas), The Lighthouse (over Africa), and The Heavenly Fortress (over Asia). A LOT of them are original characters, named with the help of Google Translate. A lot more are brought in from DC-adjacent universes, like Wildstorm and Milestone.

Team Six is full of some OC faves:

Coeur Mort means Dead Heart, in reference to the dying lake in the center of Chad. Named "Important Fairuza", she's a black Muslim Imperator Furiosa with a kitted out dune buggy and an arsenal of firearms and unlimited magical bullets that don't kill.

Shahib Sayida means Falling Star Woman. Chaimae Kateb is a Moroccan Superwoman with gentle light powers in addition to flight and superstrength. She's clearly an alien, but her history is largely unexplored and unexplained.

Albus Squilla is old Atlantean for White Prawn. A dark-skinned merman from Lori Lemaris' hometown, he possesses a white alien scarab device. When armored, he resembles a flying lobster man.

These three are led by Nommo Baleywa AKA Owusu, the transliteration of mist... himself a cross between Doctor Strange and Black Panther.

    That’s a great concept.
I can imagine all sorts of wheeling and dealing, interpersonal drama, good (and not so good) competition would go on between the various groups and sub groups. This is tailor made for long running plots and intrigue.
    Well, done, man!
