So Bruce prevented a DC shutout. Total Marvel dominance there. DC need to get their act together.

    So...X-Men, Symbiotes, X-Men, Spider-Man, Batman, Spider-Man.

I do think December will be a lot different with less X-Men #1's.

Just missing Spawn to make it feel like the 90s again.

More like the mutants are back on top now that it's against Disney's interests to hold them down.

Ignoring that these were a bunch of number ones after a major relaunch?

Anyone following DC sales knows to wait for the merged numbers taking the cardstock variants into account.

Also, honest question, is anyone that is reading DC secretly or openly wishing DC was relaunching their comics every year just to get #1s in the Top 10 never to see those titles in the Top 50 afterwards?

I hope DC NEVER do this!
I HATE Marvel's fascination with relaunching their books every 12 months.
Comics are NOT TV shows. They don't have 'seasons'.
The continual #1s may give them a sales bump, but as a reader I find it horrible.
It's also confusing to me as a reader as well. I have NO idea what volume Avengers or X-Men are at anymore. I find it as a much larger put-off as a reader than picking up a comic with a high issue number.

I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.

Other companies are doing the same thing.
Valiant does it. Image does it.
Now why is it an issue for Marvel but not them?

Those relaunches get done because you have some stores who don't want certain books on the shelf. That new number one forces them to order that book as in a LOT of cases someone is going to buy the heck out of those variants.

I know stores who make a killing off of that and never order another copy of the book after that. As annoying as those variants are-for some books that is the only reason they are on shelves.

    Relaunches are not an excuse.

I can go to stores now and those new number ones and variants are collecting DUST. A store had a DOLLAR sale and folks didn't bother to touch them. If a store is giving you a complete arc and ANY variant that you want for 6 bucks (issue 1-6) and you still don't touch them. That says something about that book.

DC still needs to get it's act together. The X-Men push has ALIENATED a lot of folks including those who dealt with harassment and trolling over their books. Not to mention the X-Office is doing nothing but putting the same 6 folks on teams-alienating EVEN more fans.

DC would be in a perfect place to strike back if it was not for previous antics. G5 is not going to solve that issue.

    Most definitely NOT.

Mutants all over the place. All we need is a bit of Rob Liefeld and it can feel like the mid 1990's again. Chuck a few Symbiotes in there just to make sure. I also thought that 'The CompleX' was a figment of certain people's imagination? It appears not.

I do hope DC has some big plans for 2020 though.

They do. Whether people LIKE their big plans however remains to be seen.
