Unless I am misremembering, I recall reading something about fx stuff for shows like this where it was said that making the models and such to use in the first season is the most expensive part, but once they have it built its easier and not as expensive to reuse it for subsequent appearances.

i could totally be wrong since im high right now...

That makes sense for Stripe, but the cgi would be a constant expense, wouldn't it?

My cost saving measure for Solomon Grundy is to do what was done in the comics--where every time he "dies," he comes back different. So if they don't have the budget, he comes back as simply a tall man. A Ted Cassidy as Lurch. I'd like one season where he comes back as the empathetic Grundy who becomes friends with someone like Jade. And then when he dies and comes back yet again as the cold monster, it's all the more sad, because of what he had been.

I don't think we'll see Grundy initially. His appearances in the first season were pretty sporadic to begin with.

Any Grundy other than Ersatz Hulk works for me.

My personal favorite was the intelligent Grundy from the Tornado's Path storyline. The IQ boost made him a huge threat.

This makes me wonder how Jay fits in.

Eh, they at least acted better than the Legends

But no, given that they're from two different worlds

Jay was from Earth-3, right, in the Arrowverse but he was on Earth-2s JSA?
Am I tracking correctly on my memory?

You mean it wouldn't make sense having a WWII JSA and one that also came to be in the '90s? Sounds perfectly logical to me!

I always kind of assumed Post-Crisis that all the JSA stuff got moved to Earth-2.

A kid referenced them in a latest Legends episode but I think that could be written off as they're a comic now like they were in Earth-1 Silver Age comics.
