Isn't Alan Scott supposed to have a big role on the HBO Green Lantern show? They may excise Jade's connection to Alan altogether, because I doubt they'll allow two versions of that character to exist on different shows on different networks at the same time.

Ah. I thought the guy playing Jay looked like him. but I didnt add it up, nor did I google it because I am lazy. I am only on Season 2 of The Flash. I dont pay too much attention to the actors. But all I could think was man this looks like the dad from Dawsons Creek lol.

Stargirl Recruits John Wesley Shipp to Play Jay Garrick

This is awesome as I love JWS and I LOVE JWS as Jay Garrick.

With that being said, I hope this is as much Stargirl gets involved with any other CW properties. I still have many reservations now that the show is fully a CW show.

Is it me, or are they saying two completely different things? One one hand, it's saying that Earth 2 is still it's own thing that won't interact with the larger Arrowverse (suck it, CW). On the other, they are saying this will bring Stargirl into the post-crisis ARROWverse alongside Flash, Superman and Lois, and the other shows.

So is Stargirl in the main universe now, or not?!

What it means is a continuity mess. Egad!

I'm unsure what the problem here is, unless I read it wrong, it just means casting Shipp as Jay means in the future Stargirl will start have start having crossovers with the others shows.
That doesn't necessarily mean it's now in the same universe, plus to be quite frank feels like you're all reading too much into it, since it's likely just a marketing blurb with no real thought by whoever wrote it.

It means it's a multiverse. When Ollie rebooted the multiverse (a.k.a. Arrowverse, a.k.a. Berlantiverse), he established the new Earth-2 with Stargirl on it. So it's part of the larger Arrowverse but not on the Earth-1 of the Arrowverse. Connected but not connected. Giving them a free hand.

On some Earths, counterparts look exactly alike and on other Earths they look completely different. So Jay can look alike on some Earths but not others.

I just wonder about time on this new Earth-2. I never could be sure when the original Justice Society was active on that Earth. Maybe it's deliberately meant to be fuzzy.

In all seriousness, this is awesome news. Really enjoyed Shipp on the Flash, both in costume and out. Him being Jay Garrick (again), but on this world looks fun.
