No, it’s not a literal denial but it’s a dismissal of a pervasive systemic issue women and girls who don’t have world class psychic powers have to face all the time. Again, all this just to justify putting her in a corset to satisfy the male gaze. It’s dripping tone deafness.

It's not a dismissal, Emma's method of combating it is a literal acknowledgement. Whether her way is misguided or not that isn't the correct reading of it

Also if anyone wants an in your face story see Mandrill vs Emma

It's not a dismissal of sexism. It's a dismissal of that ninny's approach.

How many threads does spirit have to derail before they get banned?

The phrasing of this needs work, 'our society'.

How is Storm’s nudism relevant? Few artists outside of Frank Cho have used that to create JO material for incels.

How come nightcrawler not getting called out for rushing to towel her when she just wanted to skinny dip. Or Xavier for mentioning it to Moira.

“Sexism is what you make it” IS dismissive of sexism as a cultural, systemic issue. It’s just a tone deaf justification of cheesecake.

No its not a dismissal of sexism its a dismissal of the approach to counter it. Emma's approach is more aggressive.

Feminists are trying to change the society for the benefit of all women.
I haven't read all Emma's stuff but I don't think she ever was concerned by the situation of all women…
When she criticized the other women's attitude, she blamed her for not being like her, she didn't say the women had the right to be the way they wanted.
“Strength is the lot of but a few privileged men; but austere perseverance, harsh and continuous, may be employed by the smallest of us and rarely fails of its purpose, for its silent power grows irresistibly greater with time.” Goethe
