Car-ah

Row-g(uh)* the "uh" sound is just there because I don't want it to read as "Gee".
Roo-j(uh)* again "beginning of the "Juh" just sort of trails off not an actual pronunciation of "uh".
La-Nah Layng
Low-iss Layn
Mix-Zee-Pit-Lick
Ah-Zee-Man-Dee-Ahs
Loo-Thor

Pull List:
Marvel Comics: Venom, X-Men, Black Panther, Captain America, Eternals, Warhammer 40000.
DC Comics: The Last God

The only two of those words that I could see having issues with pronunciation are Mxyzptlk and Ozymandias.
Mxyzptlk (Mix-Iz-Pittle-Ik)
Ozymandias (Ozzy-Man-Dee-Ass)
Then there's the John Constantine example. Teen or tyne. I've had that discussion on this board before. Still not sure of the correct way to say that. If it's the same as the historical Constantine The Great then I'd have it as Constan-TEEN.
Lower The Pissing Winch!
Namor
I've heard Nay-More, Nah-more, and Nay-mer.

Definitely Nay-More
And Sub-Ma-reh-ner, not Sub-Mar-een-er
Dormammu
I always said Door-mah-moo, in the movie it was door-Mah-moo

There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
With some of these it's a matter of which syllable has the most stress. Insurance is one of those words that varies depending one where your are in North America. I say insurance, but in other places people say insurance. It's a detail that comes up in mysteries--where a character reveals his or her true origin by how they pronounce it.
Electric is annoying, because on most Canadian broadcasts (and some American), I hear EL-ectric--whereas, in my community we always say ee-lectric or uh-lectric (or even 'lectric). It makes me wonder what broadcasting school did they go to where they were taught to say it with such a strong EL sound.
I see Lois (Louis), rogue and rouge frequently misspelled and I always wonder if it's a typo or if people are confused about the pronunciation.
Kara - CAR-a
Conan - COH-nan
Rogue - roh-g
Rouge - roo-zh (Where zh is like the si in Persian or the z in azure)
Lana Lang - LAH-na LANG
Lois Lane - LOH-iss LANE
Mxyzptlk - Mx-iz-ptlk
Ozymandias - OZ-ee-MAN-dee-us
Luthor - LOO-thur
Insurance - in-SHUR-ans
Electric - i-LEK-trik
They say Nay-more in the cartoons too. It sounds stupid.
sub-MA-rinner
Oh and while we're here - AK-wa-man - not AH-kwa-man or OK-wa-man
When I read Marvel's CONAN THE BARBARIAN, I always pronounced it KAW-nin, but then when I went to comic shops and conventions I heard the super-geeks saying Koh-NAN. That's too extreme for me and I still prefer my version.
Ozymandias, I know from high school English as like Ozzy-MANDY-us. But lately, I hear people on youtube saying Ozzy-man-DIE-us. Also from high school English (and ALL IN COLOR FOR A DIME), I learned to say Submariner like in "Rime of the Ancient Mariner."
Aquaman I always pronounce Ak-wah-MAN.
Mxyzptlk I learned to say from the comic book letter columns as MiX-YeZ-PiT-eL-iK. Which helps with spelling, because all you do is leave out the vowels.
What about Ra's al Ghul? I've heard all kinds of pronunciations of that--even within the same show, like on ARROW.
Oh here is one that is constantly mispronounced "T'challa".
If you watch the film Black Panther you can tell people that are native English speakers because they pronounce the "Tuh". Listen to the way Lupita says it and you'll see the difference.
It really should be more like just "CHUH-la".
The "T" is supposed to be an indicator of a hard "CH" sound.
