    The X-villain has the ability to fly and drain energy. Said energy drain ought to work on LotR Sauron as well. And LotR Sauron's lack of flight makes dealing damage here pretty difficult.

    Could be underselling LotR version though - he really doesn't have a lot of feats, and certainly nothing with enough range to let him deal with flight.

    We’ve done this dance, and Sauron (Sour-on, not Soar-on) wins. The X-men villain isn’t taking this one.
