Given his present status quo, my first thought was Star Lord.

Yes it's stealing someone else's name, but the Vell family have a long standing tradition of doing just that. Phyla took Wendells, and Genis took Monica's twice.

I vote for just Dorrek-Vell, or if you really wanted a codename, Emporer/King Marvel? I'm assuming people want a name removed from anything Hulk-related, so I thought Emperor/King Marvel would cover the bases. Acknowledges his status and gives him a tangible tie to Mar-vell in name, since he's the only character directly related to him that hasn't gotten that. I would say Marvel Boy, but Noh has that lol.

That's a royal name, not a superhero codename, though. And of course, his name is actually different depending on who is talking about him - he certainly isn't the 8th Kree emperor called Dorrek, they'd be more likely to use his Kree surname, -Vell, instead of the number. And to Earth, he's just plain Theodore "Teddy" Kaplan-Altman.

I completely forgot about Noh-Varr and him being Marvel Boy. What about Marvel King? I feel like it rolls off the tongue more than King Marvel.

On sort of the same subject, I think he should be constantly referred to as Dorrek-Vell. The only time that's happened was on the LOE one-shot, but I feel like him going as Dorrek VII which is a Skrull-only name all the time isn't the most appropriate.

No. That makes him sound like Kamala's legacy character, considering she's also a shapeshifter and the name is so similar to hers.
