Well, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. It did give us a few tidbits in that the universal economy has collapsed and it is now operating on a barter system. Also highlights how out of the loop the FF (especially Reed and Sue) are. There were some nice continuity references to Secret War, the Inhuman wedding from F4 Annual 18 (Bel-Dann, Raksor), and Reed reveals the investigation he did with Blue Marvel from Incoming!. Plus that Kree Boy and Skrull Girl the FF freed will have to factor into the plot at some point.

Thank you very much for taking the time to explain that for me. So in this case, who is the waifu?

I wonder if N'Kalla will disguise herself as a human named Nicola?

So this preview restates this time directly that the Cotati were also put on our moon.

Which wasn't the case in the original

Or in the recent recap in Road to Empyre.

Did I (and Thompson) miss some retcon or did Ewing commit a rare for him continuity error?

You're very welcome, and not having kept up with Fantastic Four as much as I should, I'd be at a loss to explain.

Eh, I usually try to avoid explaining obvious, but there is one new female character that Slott has been super hyping up and that's Profiteer.

I'm assuming it's from the printed version of the Empyre Magazine, and they probably didn't edit it out because it had been already printed that way. It's interesting that it looks like some of the art was already completed and inked, just without any coloring. It kinda makes me scared for other books out there that haven't been rescheduled/resolicited yet, because now we know that art being partially done doesn't even mean the book will see the light of day.

Any reason why "Empyre: Spider-Man" and other comics from Empyre were cancelled? I was pretty interested in Spider-Man's role here. I was also interested in the Squadron Supreme's Tie-En. I was expecting maybe the Squadron was going to start realizing their TRUE origins and how they are being used.

Probably because they were nowhere near finished. Notice that the tie-ins that survived are mostly on the first half of the original checklist.

Still, I would have liked to see how their involvement in this story. I'm quite worried about the Squadron Supreme. It's obvious they will discover their true origins sooner or later, and when that happens, I'm afraid ANYTHING can happen.

Pretty much a marvel cosmic version of Roulette from DC. Although, she was cramping on Mojo's style in this a bit. Maybe they can do a Ratings War or something down the track?

I was reading Universe X today, and that also said they were both on the moon. So it's an error that's been made before, but I'll also call it a good retcon. The two species both competing on our moon is way more dramatic.

So...anyone got any thoughts about where we’re going to go here? It’s the event I’m coming into not really knowing anything about it.

If anything Roulette would be a version of Grandmaster. Which brings us to the problem. Despite having a pretty different gimmick, in execution Profiteer felt like Grandmaster rip-off even used his casino. The same is the case with the Promoter. And with Challenger, they didn't even pretend that he has a different gimmick. Can we just stop getting more Grandmaster clones?
