I loved this. We get to see Quoi in a more vulnerable way, compared to his portrayal in Empyre: Avengers #0. I feel like he is more like Teddy than I realized; just a kid that is sort of being pressured into this whole thing by the older people. I can't wait to see how their interaction is going to be like. I really feel like Teddy vs Quoi will be the highlight of this event.

This interaction between Teddy and Carol is... interesting. I can't tell if they're fighting or something else.

Also, BLACK PANTHER WIELDING EXCELSIOR!?!?!? I'm sure there will be an explanation for that.

So...anyone got any thoughts about where we’re going to go here? It’s the event I’m coming into not really knowing anything about it.

I think it's pretty clear what the beginning of the event is about; Kree and Skrull get together to fight against the Cotati, who decided to return after years, and now they're stronger than ever and not so peaceful anymore. Earth heroes side with the Cotati at first, until they realize there is something wrong, so they start working with the Kree/Skrull.... after that, I have no idea where the story is going. Apparently issue #4 is gonna have some big twist. It's been said that fans won't see it coming.

Interesting. If you remember the "To Build an Empyre" trailer, someone threw Excelsior into Wakandan throne. Maybe it was T'Challa himself.

I just enjoy the newfound confidence Teddy seems to exude on every page he's in so far. And yeah Teddy vs Plant Prince is what I'm looking forward to the most, and laughing as the Cotati are crushed by the full might of the Empyre as Teddy takes his rightful place as Khal of space, with Billy as Khaleesi cause their geeky like that and would make that **** legit!

As for who dies I can't imagine who it could be leaning towards Mantis.

If anything Roulette would be a version of Grandmaster. Which brings us to the problem. Despite having a pretty different gimmick, in execution Profiteer felt like Grandmaster rip-off even used his casino. The same is the case with the Promoter. And with Challenger, they didn't even pretend that he has a different gimmick. Can we just stop getting more Grandmaster clones?

Well, Profiteer IS his sister! Would be nice to see her niece again - Voyager. She's been keeping her father Grandmaster in check, which is probably why Profiteer took over the casino.

I assume that she is only his sister in that they are both Elders. I think Grandmaster and Collector were referred to each other as brothers a few times. Otherwise, that would be a blunder on the part of Slott, since having an actual sister would be against the whole point of the Elders.

And as to Voyager, NRH still has the unresolved plotline of Challenger's disappearance left, so I assume that there are some plans for a third No... series.

Once you got apotheosised for being the last survivor you can do whatever you want. But you can't be the last survivor if your sis is still around.

Her books is tying in, and we haven't seen post-Empyre solicits for her yet, so not necessarily. However, I doubt they would kill her off.
